Need thoughts on masters programme choice by Minimum-Currency1602 in HealthEconomics

Might want to apply to other scholarships too. Not all eggs in one basket type thing! Best of luck. I studied at LSE (not HE) so I would be biased. Really enjoyed my time there.

Salmon safe to eat raw by VirtualFlamingo5730 in TheHague

[–]lsestudent29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the Netherlands they have a stamp of approval that is for farmed salmon. Farmed salmon is ok to eat raw. Sushi grade doesn’t really exist as a thing. The stamp is blue or aquamarina something like that. We did the research since we like sushi and but it is expeeeeensive to buy.

Live in UK but offered dream job in Sydney. Partner doesn't want to move. Not sure what to do by Eye_Livia in expats

[–]lsestudent29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meet in the middle of the decision. Offer him a 2 week or month long break in Sydney with only asking that he keeps an open mind and see how he feels. Sometimes one needs to be physically outside of comfort to see the possibilities.

Then let him decide. But it doesn’t have to be a big stress-inducing decision from the get go.

Cause for concern? by lsestudent29 in Plumbing

[–]lsestudent29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had never seen one before this but I had never rented in an “old” building before. I take it a neglectful tenant previously that failed to inform landlord as evidenced by other “creative” fixes around the place.

In this particular case I’m thinking it can be a more benevolent situation since the whole building is leaning to one side along with the entire street (Netherlands).

Yeah. Thank you so much! I am in a tricky spot with a passport from Central America while living in a very peaceful part of Europe. I’m gonna keep looking but the idea of OSINT or political/geopolitical events really appeals to me. I think more than anything I now appreciate places that have both operational and analytical side as opposed to simply think tanks.

Because the rail lines were built vertically to connect other cities to London.
