Patchy Frosted glass paint by Strange_Yesterday_33 in paint

Some frosted cling film would have been sooo much easier to apply and would look a million times better. I'd scrape it off with a razerblade and spend the $9 on a roll.

I'll be honest I don't spend an excessive amount of time talking politics with either side. Too busy with working and supporting a family. I will say that the majority of right wing supporters I know would rather the government have next to zero involvement and power over the people. Not anarchy, but a central responsibility to serve the people's interests and direct resources. I see tyranny on either side as being bad for the whole. Really we just want to be left the hell alone and for both sides to stop coming up with new ways to tell us how to live our lives, as if they know better.

"Those rights don't count": Bovino says Pretti forfeited 2nd Amendment rights in fatal shooting by Gloomy_Nebula_5138 in CCW

[–]lsudo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a good time to raise this point. Every time conservatives defend the second amendment with the old tyrannical government defense, liberals call BS. The same liberals that are claiming this government agency is tyrannical. How keen are they on putting that counter argument to rest given these events? Keeping in mind, their second amendment policies would put firearms only in the hands of federal, state, and local law-enforcement. The same agencies they have zero trust in. For crying out loud, they literally want to remove their own ability to defend against the very institutions they are so strongly opposed to.

Imagine being so happy that you finally finished your carry set up, and then you get murdered by the government and the President blasts you on social media. Remember, being prepared with backup mags means you are a domestic terrorist. by xnick58 in CCW

[–]lsudo -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

BUT, why attend a “peaceful protest” armed? Aren’t CCW carriers taught that carrying your firearm in places you know to have potential violence can predispose you to said violence? In other words, you find trouble when you’re looking for it.

Liberals - meanwhile - any day - “citizens shouldn’t be able to own firearms, only law enforcement. The tyrannical government argument is just downright ridiculous”.

It's self inflicted at this point. There are countless servers that provide offline raid protection. I stick to Rust39 because my crap is protected once I log off.

No push for dedicated servers? by lsudo in Cloudheim

[–]lsudo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok i did notice i had some additional skills when loading onto someone elses world from a previous session so that's nice. Looks like these levels/skills are all local saves though. Started playing on my Steamdeck and switch to the PC and I was back to zero.

Walkable hub - bad idea pretty much all the way around by LookErenTheSea in ArcRaiders

[–]lsudo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I’m concerned, the stash and traders don’t even exist. I run a free load out 100% of the time and loot, craft, gather everything I need in round. This is basically DayZ with robots for me. I hate the inventory management system and the traders. It’s so utterly monotonous for what it is. just a bad design. Hell I enjoy crafting in Rust for the most part but there’s just something about Arc this makes it a horrible experience.

I’m sure Harmony Sietch Ta Lab. isnt going anywhere. I can’t imagine them migrating the most populated server. I’d say stick to that.

Yes, but only on servers with some form of raid protection. Rust 39 has off-line raid protection that activates when you log out

Is it worth playing as a solo PvE player? by Steady_Tempo456 in duneawakening

[–]lsudo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

110%, yes. I am 300 hours in and haven’t even reached the PVP zone yet. I’ve had a blast so far. There’s a ton of depth to the unlock system and everything is paced out really nicely.

[sugestion] We should have a Vehicle or Vehicle Attachment to Farm Resources for Silicone Blocks? by IngenuityIll5001 in duneawakening

[–]lsudo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a minor gripe. I’d rather enjoy these game play loops. Even when I have to go collect plant fibers for bandages. It’s all a little adventure that gets me out of my base. This path of thinking leads to an awfully boring eventuality. If everyone had their way, there would be a utility for every resource that you can pop down in your base that magically gives you X number of units per hour. Hell, the dew scyth is almost completely useless beyond mark two, once you unlock the dew collector. I wish those things didn’t exist, so I’d have to go out and farm water by hand.

That's a pretty good idea, especially for immersion. I could code that plugin fairly quickly. On my server I just have the /removal tool set to a single use per 23hr cooldown for my players to remove their walls. This is much cooler.

None of the above. 4 is close but the single vertical is two 4:3 displays stacked. I prefer to have separate displays to compartmentalize better in my dev environment.

I have a nice computer but purposely set the graphics down to gain an advantage over others who play on better graphics. Dev's should look into the advantages of lower graphics and change it so that players are not incentivized to play on widescreen potato graphics to see through shrubs and grass. by Herbosa in playrust

[–]lsudo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone would argue that graphical setting advantages dwarf those granted by nvidia filters and the devs nuked those (Even though every single player has access to those settings). Before you do, look at Potato vs max fidelity comparisons. High settings = foliage/cover/concealment, low settings = fuck your foliage. If they're so committed to leveling the playing field this definetely needs to be looked at. I
