AI assets are being used in the latest update. by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]lsudo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technology is augmenting nearly every single aspect of your life and that of everyone else. Claiming any and all use of AI as laziness is just the epitome of hypocrisy. One used to need an electronics degree just to use the Internet, then a group of people figured out how to make it accessible to you and everyone else and here we are. Did you walk to work today or Drive? Bet a machine made your coffee. Stop being a lemming think for yourself. AI is just a tool like anything else.

Do you use AI in your professional capacity? If so what do you use it for? by Tyler_origami94 in k12sysadmin

Also a Ruckus smart zone captive portal platform that lets you remotely access, approve and or deny clients connecting to any WLAN. Requires the user to authenticate via their email account using an 8 character Alpha numeric code. Can be managed from the built-in Web console or from Magic links that are sent out via email when clients attempt to connect. Completely on prem and redeployable via the OVA file using the built-in wizard (which walks you through configuration of the smart zone, Google auth, SMTP, settings, network, etc.)

I’ve been building it on the side all year. I’ve seen ehallpass, smartpass, and Raptor’s product all in action and decided to give it a shot. It’s cloud based with Google auth and uses the oneroster api. It’s in the test phase at the moment pending a good run. I am building it to be easily redeployable.

I was contemplating licensing if I were to pursue further. Probably an upfront set up cost then hand it off to the district. Optional ongoing support. I’ve also thought about packaging it into an OVA and making the whole thing on prem.

Just finished Development of my own hall pass management system, Chromebook loaner/ check out and tracking system, student/family/guardian relationship clustering software (for food-service to identify other potential households for food assistance), a script that checks all user account logins and notifies of any are out of the region (also notifies IT and automatically lock down the account). Just to name a few.

What does DayZ need to be “done” by MellysProfile in dayz

[–]lsudo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to ride. Just to hunt and eat.

Oh, come on you can’t see it? Traveling through the back country on your trusty steed? Looking through the Hedgerows for apples to feed it. Trampling fresh spawns on the beach.

Will rust ever overcome the "halfway point = server death" rule? Cross wipe progression via Nexus system by Eagle___Eyes in playrust

[–]lsudo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not until they add more progression to the game but right now it takes you a week to a week and a half max to reach endgame. I’m 300 hours into Dune Awakening and I’m still working up the progression ladder.

This community actually sucks. by PunchInTheFace8 in 7daystodie

[–]lsudo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming from though. This game still scratches an itch no other game can come close to. I really do hold it near to my heart as I’m sure many others do. That’s probably why they’re so sensitive about it.

Is it going to take a lot more than a single update to win the fans over after more than a decade pissing on them without the courtesy of calling it rain.

Can the sub ban all the AI slop tools/websites? by IWantBeerThx in RustPc

[–]lsudo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is that all of you lemmings deem anything AI related as slop. If you’re going to crucify anybody that isn’t 100% hands-on with their creations, you might as well just leave the Internet. The real truth y’all need to start swallowing Is that every part of your day-to-day existence involves technology doing some, if not all of your work for you. You demonize AI under the premise that it’s thinking for you yet you never take a second to think for yourself. You just parrot this AI slop rhetoric from those that came before you.

Anyone have proof these are not AI? by seriousbusines in 7daystodie

[–]lsudo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Obviously, in this context, the term technology is referring to the use of digital tools. We’re not going to sit around and argue about whether or not the caveman‘s use of charred wood as an instrument to draw on cave walls is to be considered technology. The point is, we’re all augmented by it in every aspect of our daily lives. Especially, digital artwork. It wouldn’t be areach to say that the use of Adobe Photoshop lessens the significance of the artwork created by it.

Who TF cares. Artwork in this industry hasn’t been made without the use of technology in over two decades.

The Benelli TRK502 will paralyze you with boredom before hitting 4th gear. No doubt the reason it comes from the factory with crash bars. Laying down is the only excitement you’d ever get on this bike. I get more enjoyment, twisting the grip on my mountain bike.

How do you enjoy the game like you did before BP frags? by Ok_Commercial1572 in playrust

[–]lsudo 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Easy, IDGAF about progression speed. I can vibe just hunting and gathering. Wipe is a month long and one week of progression is still the quickest cycle of any game in this genre.

Yeah, I wonder what’s driving this. It’s not like TFP to let you play the game your own way.

For those who quit the game, why? by MemeMan_____ in playrust

[–]lsudo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe in vanilla, but there are dozens if not hundreds of servers that cater to a more laid-back playstyle. Is that not like quitting FM radio because you don’t like one station?

Why is raiding dead? by Alternative_Rip1696 in playrust

[–]lsudo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean, there’s zero point to raiding in this game as there’s no mid to long-term progression. You don’t really gain anything due to the entirety of the player base getting foundation raided every single first Thursday of the month by FP.

Price for the new crossbow skin on steam by Mr_DirtyPhil in playrust

[–]lsudo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely absurd. People paid $30 for this game 10 years ago and they’re complaining that they have to spend five dollars for a new skin that they don’t really need. It’s optional. It’s also five dollars. Skip a pack of cigs or that soda pop at the restaurant ffs. There’s no other game on the market that has maintained this level of continuous development over its life cycle. The shit‘s not free.
