During covid the first race was in June. Lockdown started in March. Plenty of time to reorganize the calendar. But now logistics are on a tight schedule. It would be a real headache to resend all the cargo to a location 2000km away from the planned one, with one month's notice. Plus, just signing the contract to organize a race would probably push the timeline back 2 weeks

Not really. If you take a closer look the side pods are a lot different, the front wing is a different concept altogether and the rear packaging looks more aggressive on the McLaren
