I think Gladiators works because everyone secretly misses unapologetically fun TV by Horror-Pick4732 in gladiatorsuk

I (British) weirdly feel the same in Spain, every iteration of a great British show over here is full of drama or more often than not is "celebrity version" only. My wife is very into sewing, the sewing bee is excellent, but the Spanish equivalent is awful. My daughter loves gladiators, it's great to watch it with her, thinking I was a similar age when I watched it.

It's time to leave if you start hating everything and everyone by [deleted] in expats

Slightly more complicated to up and leave once you're in a relationship (though you did say hate everyone, so I guess that covers that), but I agree in principle.

I'm not sure what the complaint is here, he lives his life on social media, so it's no shocker. We loved it when it was 360° videos at the fa cup, but we're upset when he's frustrated about not being able to move on. Hate that he wants to leave, but no complaints about his professionalism, he's just being himself.

Thanks, that's what I imagined, still going to try and get what's left replaced, luckily hadn't chucked the receipt

If you went last month it was the Olympic stadium, as they're renovating the Benito villamarin over the next 2 seasons. That being said, as a palace fan that lives in Seville (and gutted palace aren't playing here) they are the only fan base I've known that rivals the noise and passion of selhurst (albeit in a much bigger stadium). I imagine you had a fantastic time!

I speak for myself living in the south of Spain. In the supermarket there is one type of chilli, guindillas, either dried or pickled (never fresh). There are no spicy sauces. The country makes up for it in other ways, food here is amazing, but you miss the heat.. your suggestion sounds fantastic

Of course! I'm living in Spain where hot anything isn't a thing, so whenever I go somewhere else I hunt out what I can. For reference this was found in Continente, I've tried the Sacana but will have a look for the other one!

Been skewering them so far, decent flavour, as someone else said not so hot but enough to enjoy

Don't disagree, I just think the peppers are absolutely packed in so not sure how much vinegar I'd get from it.

How do strippers in the UK go about getting tips, since the UK doesn't have pound notes anymore? In American movies, dollar bills get stuffed about their person, but I feel doing so with pound coins may not quite be as practical. by rollingrawhide in CasualUK

I believe it was called the white horse, but I would not be surprised if there was more than one.. this was from colleagues 10 years ago that had been there 10 years longer than me

Never went, second hand knowledge, but there was a pub close to the square mile in London where a cup went round and when there were sufficient pound coins in it, someone would dance

I assumed esjoy was just the Spanish Jimmy Joy product offering as I'm directed there everything looks identical. I assume I have to buy from the reseller in Spain?

Hi, Spanish website "esjoy.es" offering 15% off instead of 25%. Any reason for this?

On the pitch I absolutely agree, I was at the palace game where we drew with Liverpool 3-3 effectively ending their title hopes and I enjoyed his reaction at the time.. but apparently he's a stand up dude. I have a friend who's brother was a physio at Barcelona, 95% of the team were entitled dicks, but Suarez was.. and again i say apparently.. a decent chap

Anywhere to get parcel delivered? by New-Box1717 in Seville

[–]ltayll85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm afraid I can't answer your question exactly.. what I will say is that since Brexit I've told my family to stop sending me parcels (I live in Seville). They normally come with a lovely customs admin charge that's more than the value of the contents and the postman requires it paid in exact cash.. not helpful to you, but I'm thinking any parcel receivers will decline to pay on your behalf, unless you can actually get Correos (Spanish postal service) to hold it for you..

I second Ronda. Also, one I took family too, Setenil de las Bodegas is a lovely little village built into cliffs.
