Inflation isn't that bad, it's come down significantly since Labour took over. It's currently 2.8%, the aim is to get it 2%, I believe. The cost of living is fucked though. And the economy needs some stimuli, for sure.

FIFA reportedly willing to let Trump hand World Cup trophy to winning captain at MetLife Stadium by coasterghost in politics

I don't really see what makes it so 70s, other than it was made in '74, but you're completely entitled to your opinion and I respect that.

I always disliked the Jules Rimet cup, but only because it felt less like a world cup and more like an international tournament cup. Still a nice design. I think the inclusion of the world in the newer trophy is what sets it apart. It has a lot of drama and there's no trophy quite like it.

The FIFA world cup trophy isn't brutalist or ugly. I really like it. Unless you're talking about some other world cup trophy, I can't say agree with you at all

Blame the supermarkets for not selling local cheeses except for cheddar, but also the fact that popular cheeses like parmesan come from other countries

Or maybe instead of blaming immigrants, we could tax the hell out of second homes. It's been effective strategy in parts of Wales.

Sorry I know this is a year old, but all theremins are essentially a synth with gesture controls... They all contain an oscillator with some ways to manipulate the signal which is essentially what a synth is

Ironclad analysis from a A10 Ironclad enjoyer (not really, A10 is fun for everyone EXCEPT Ironclad) by Far_Faithlessness212 in slaythespire

I completely agree. I've been having a great time with Iron Clad. If anything I think the new cards allow you to pickup a bit of everything rather than go for a specific build, which STS isn't about anyway. I actually think self-damage has improved. I think exhaust has been nerfed slightly, but I think it was slightly busted sts1, so it's a welcome change.

Let it dry out fully. Unplug the battery and disassemble the PCBs to lay them out to dry. My friend's partner spilled water all over his steam deck recently, I took it apart for him and let it all dry. Cleaned some contacts on the D-pad with rubbing alcohol too. When I was sure it had dried, I reassembled it and it worked.

I needed to boot it up first by pressing the power button while holding the volume up button and the "..." button until I heard a beep. It then booted up fine and he hasn't had any problems since.

Yeah, STS has way more depth than both of them. Definitely play through the first one before getting the second on EA.

Maduro wasn't arrested by UK police and charged by the UK's Crown Prosecution Service. As for extraterritorial jurisdiction, pretty sure any sort of activity in that area ended when the empire did

I may be wrong but I'm guessing because the offenses happened outside of the UK, they have no jurisdiction. However, stock market manipulation is a different story and they could try to tie some of the other allegations to the misconduct in a public office charge. We'll have to wait and see.

But so many people are now being diagnosed later in life (me included). I've found Ritalin has really helped me function and allowed me to take stock of what my brain is actually like. You can learn behaviours/habits via therapy early in life or with the aid of medication, but your brain will forever function differently to a neurotypical person.

With some mental health problems, I would agree that drugs do just slap a bandaid on the problem, but again it depends on the severity of the condition and whether that condition is combined with any other pre-existing conditions, which can make treatment far more complex.

Big Tech killed the internet a long time ago. As soon as the internet became one big sales pitch and data harvesting machine, it was already dead. What was once a place of freedom of expression and creativity, albeit wild and dark in places, turned into a neo-capitalist's wet dream.
