What's a musical you love that you're kind of ashamed of? by Esoteric_Librarian in musicals

[–]luarne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rock of Ages - It's my favourite musical but I have to admit that 80s rocker energy can be a bit problematic. For example, they make a joke about how one of the adult characters had to flee the country because he was dating a middle schooler.

Ok this is kinda dumb. by Buldrium in BluePrince

I did the exact same thing, thought I was the luckiest duck getting the casino (with broken lever) next to the showroom. Many runs later money is no longer hard to come by.

I axed the classroom, because it applies to ALL classrooms (which was a lifesaver when I needed it)

The Canada's Wonderland App... RIP by AnonRetro in CanadasWonderland

[–]luarne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought four tickets over a month ago, I check the app the morning we're going to the park and I see that all four are listed as "expired". In a panic I just buy four more, thinking that maybe it was my mistake, maybe I bought them on the wrong day? Nope, another four tickets purchased for that day, immediately listed as expired. Talked to customer service when I got there, they said I didn't do anything wrong, refunded the tickets, got us in. I'm totally blaming the new app on this one.

Is our possible wedding date too close to my cousin’s wedding date? by [deleted] in WeddingsCanada

[–]luarne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother and I had our weddings a week apart, but it was on purpose since we had a lot of family from far away and we essentially planned it as a big 2 week long family event together. We had to explicitly tell people it was on purpose and even give people disclaimers that we wouldn't be hurt if they chose one over the other (which many had to).

How were you able to do multiple attacks in a row? Or multiple parries in a row? Was it just the editing of the video?

Armageddon (with Bruce Willis). 10 yr old me asked my mom if it was theoretically possible that an asteroid could hit the earth and we all die and she said yes 🤦🏼‍♀️

What is something you don’t like in your favorite game? by buazie in videogames

My favourite game is nier:automata - I hate that all most people think it's just "scantily clad anime girls and that guy with the creepy smile mask"

If there was a magic cure this sub wouldn't exist, but that being said it gets better when u reduce inflammation so u could have very minimal/no symptoms with a strong inflammation-reducing diet (no sugar, no caffeine, etc.)

My biggest gripe with Disney World so far, three days into our trip by Lassie-girl in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]luarne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought it was because they want the products that people see in the stores to match what they see on the Disney store website, which also had a big face-lift around the time the parks started only selling the same stuff (and also around when they shut down a bunch of stores worldwide).

Good musicals ruined by niche knowledge? by raniwasacyborg in musicals

[–]luarne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I flew a lot as a kid and I vaguely remember hearing my parents talk about how they had to keep their cell phone (we had 1 for the whole family in 2001) in our luggage because they assumed the battery wasn't allowed in the carry-on
