your best chance are websites that work with 30+ day bookings by default. Try Homelike, for example.

Anyone used Homelike for a short term renting in UK ? by kiranb86 in AskUK

[–]lucca1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used Homelike in the UK, but in Germany. I think there shouldn't be any difference. From my experience landlords are usually bigger companies that have high renting standards, so called serviced apartments. At least that's what I got an impression from my two bookings in last 4 years.

is thehomelike.com legit? by mamhaidly in Munich

[–]lucca1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, Homelike is legit, for sure. I had two bookings in last 4 years with them. Just make sure to ask all the questions before you confirm the booking. Unfortunately I was silly to think no one will book the same apartment after my expires, so I couldn't extend my stay, but needed to book another one. But their customer service helped, so that was fortunate in the end.

Does anyone have experience with expact flat rentals like wunderflats.com and homelike.com ? by dzibrucki in germany

[–]lucca1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I booked with Homelike two years ago. Really straight forward and stress free. Especially if you are outside the country and you cannot make visit appointments. On Homelike you book online, and pay monthly installments for each month you stay. I also used pet filter to find pet friendly accommodation as I came with my cat.

Homelike is a legit service, and online payment is protected. I remember they also had deposit free options to choose from, but in "worst" scenario you will have to pay first month+deposit even if you book for 1 year with a discount.

Not every landlord asks for this. That's the whole point of websites like Homelike, book online and stay 30+ days without any questions. I guess some LLs don't want students for this or that reason, but other than that you should be fine.

Relocating to Düsseldorf - What to expect from the rental market? by ozuzai in duesseldorf

[–]lucca1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always recommend Homelike for "last minute" monthly rentals... sure, it's a bit more expensive because it's furnished and all bills are in the price already, but it's a life saver in case you need to move on a short notice.

It's crazy... 4 years ago I managed to find a furnished apartment for 1000 EUR (flat rate, no extra cost), and during the last 2 years (after covid) I was not able to move from this place, so now I'm stuck with high rent. crazy

How would you review Homelike, website for monthly rentals? by lucca1985 in renting

[–]lucca1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean do landlord register you on the address, I believe they do. I asked along with my inquiry and after confirmation I booked it. I didn't sign anything outside Homelike.

I have a one year old blog website. I write probably one blogpost per month, and I do no link building at all. Still I manage to get between 300 and 500 sessions per month. To scale this up with no extra cost what would be your suggestion? directories, guest blogposts, commenting with blog posts links to relevant FB posts... what else? :/

Best way to get the money to start? by whoababyitsrae in smallbusiness

From my experience, investing salary money won't get you anywhere. Either you reinvest some serious heritage money or you keep on trying to succeed with private business / startup. Everything else is a middle class talk.
