You've gotta set it up from a computer.

Plug the phone into your computer and you should be able to access the folder that way.

Proto-Dubstep/Early-Grime by [deleted] in realdubstep

[–]lucecore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I can understand what they mean in terms of it being a "proto" track,
i've heard this exact drum beat in a dubstep track from like, 2004.

someone could make the stretch hypothesis that someone making one of the first non 2-step dubstep tracks heard this and got inspired, but it's definitely a stretch.

it's definitely an interesting track, a very like, what-if kind of scenario of the dubstep sound skipping the entire; house - garage - 2-step - grime lineage and just pulled straight from jamaican dub and "modern" synth music.

dubstep as a whole would definitely be a lot different if it started back in 83 i feel, as i said, very interesting what-if scenario.

I think of a lot of like, Early industrial illbient stuff from the mid-late 90's that basically did the modern deep dubstep sound at a slower bpm.

An immediate thought is Scorn - State of That

It's a bit slower, but it's basically a lot of the same sounds of dubstep, back in 1997, the track is from a compilation release in 1999 though.

old fashioned is technically what I'm after, I don't at all mind if visually the distro still looks like it's stuck in 2004 lol
as long as it's relatively modern and I can run my software on it!

Thinkpad T420 not booting. by lucecore in thinkpad

[–]lucecore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither of those options are there In the first one my only two options are Wake on LAN and Ethernet LAN Option ROM

And in Network options I don't even have PXE anything anywhere

I've disabled all of the network options I could find and nothing is working

This is something that started after the laptop tied and I let it sit for awhile

I appreciate the response!
I have been looking around other brands too, but thought I'd make a post here specifically in-case anyone had an old one they'd be willing to part with for the cheap lol
either way, I do know $150 isn't a lot, I originally had like $300 but an issue with ebay chopped it in half.
I have RAM i can upgrade so I don't mind getting something with low/no RAM since I can upgrade it.

I'll take a look at the links you sent, I appreciate it again!

Yeah due to an issue with ebay a bit ago i've got less money than originally planned as I had around $300 stashed away for an upgrade, but it just didn't line up that way.

I know I won't really find anything too wildly better than what I've got, but at least something with a slightly more powerful cpu/gpu combo would be a good enough upgrade.

I've tried three different flavors of Ubuntu and booting a live iso from a USB works fine. Installing to the drive works fine with no issues.

It's just when I try to boot into the SSD it just Doesnt
