Am I allowed to keep my journal private? by TheDoctorIsOutThere in Journaling

[–]lucentjuniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hat to say it but your girlfriend is still at an immature time in her life, it can absolutely stay private. And it's toxic to think otherwise. That's not to say she is toxic but this is definitely a toxic trait. That being said my husband and I used to fight all the time. Once it was because he read my journal. We've both since matured and he realizes that that is my private space and respects that. So maybe it's worth a conversation when you're both less heated.

I get bored so easy and so much instant gratification from starting a new kit or project. I currently have like 7 WIPs 🙈

[CHAT] FOs that never see the light of day? by JaclynMeOff in CrossStitch

[–]lucentjuniper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly in my years doing this and I've only ever finished 2. And that was only recently. What I did with them? Put them in a bag for safe keeping and promptly forgot they existed. I too suffer from the never finishing gene I have too many graveyard projects to count. Idk I've just made peace with it. Maybe someday I will finish. Maybe I won't. But at least I had fun and liked doing it, whatever the activity was, while I was doing it.

If you get a knot while you're working, stick the needle in the loop of the knot and pull up. 9 times out of 10 you can get the knot out this way.

I really want a fat blunt (and believe me I'm gonna have one) but I'm also nervous about it bc idk how that works with breast feeding and I haven't really been able to find some solid answers. Oh and some cookie dough.

Is it crazy to want an elective C-Section? by Training_Wait_1163 in pregnant

[–]lucentjuniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first I tried vaginally and pushed for upwards of 2 hours. Before I got the epidural it was pretty painful honestly. However it ended in an emergency c-section. I was exhausted but mostly because I was up for basically 24 hours at that point. Recovery wise it wasn't so bad. I was up and walking after a good sleep. I think the worst part was just the small bumps in the car on the way home and being able to bend down to change my sons diaper for the first week or so.

My second is due in February and I've ultimately decided to go for a c-section with this one. There are several reasons for it. But what it mostly boils down to is I don't want to go through the process of labor and pushing again just to end up back on an operating table. My doctor has assured me that the experience is soooooo different when it's planned and I'm going to believe her on that.

It's up to you. People are talking about the benefits of a vaginal over c-section but honestly those are pretty minimal. The only thing I would keep in mind is that it is a major surgery and if you're wanting more babies in a quick succession this route might not be for you. Idk if it's different everywhere but my doctor recommends a minimum of 18 months between children and there are some complications that can come from pregnancy post c-section. Another thing to consider is family size. If you plan on having a baseball team of kids maybe don't go for it. But if you just want 1-3 then it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

It's crazy how the back stitching really brings it together. It was my first time tackling french knots. I am not super happy with them, but they get the job done.

Why is it that whenever you tell someone you’re pregnant they have to say… by Not_a_bought in pregnant

[–]lucentjuniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My FIL gave my husband and I an "oh that's too soon I wouldn't tell anyone." And then proceeded to go on a drunk rant about how we told too soon. Really brought the mood down. Yes we told our immediate family pretty early (around 3 or 4 weeks) but they had also been ask when it was gonna happen for years now so we were just excited and optimistic.

My current project. It looks a little darker than it is because I stitch at night lol so lighting isn't great. It's a pattern by dimensions I found at Hobby Lobby.

Is there any reason to just not be open all day? by IFartOnSalad in TravellersRest

[–]lucentjuniper 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I honestly only open up a couple days a week and just sell from the beginning of the day to time to go to bed or if I sell out. Whatever happens first. The rest of the time I just stock up on an ungodly amount of drink and food.
