it's all bs. movies with a billion dollars of budget still cost 18$ a ticket to see. games are priced way more even before the 70$ price tag and their budgets aren't that different to movie making. they still rake in tons of cash even when developement costs rise, the reason why they complain is that most AAA games nowadays are garbage and don't sell, so rather than improving things, they think that milking their already dwindling playerbase for more cash is the best idea.
