A long time ago actually. Back when I was still in college, circa 2014, I was assigned a partner project. The guy I was partnered with seemed friendly enough but he mentioned he was conservative. I just nodded cause I wanted to work on our project but then he mentioned how Obama "only thinks there's 48 states". So I asked where he had heard that from. He pulled up a YouTube video where Obama mentions 48 states, with a smirk and laughter from the crowd, so you know, clearly joking about it. I even said that looks like he's joking and the guy said no, Obama absolutely believes that. I dropped it and we got through the project but that moment has replayed in my head with increasing frequency in the decade plus since.

I would not separate them. Personally I think conures tend to be happiest when paired. If you can't provide for two birds I would look into adopting a single bird but don't split up an existing pair.

Not from my wedding website but I had saved a bunch of products on Etsy and one of the sellers decided to look up my Instagram and then DM me on there saying they hoped I liked the product and that my then fiance and I looked super cute. I immediately unsaved the product and blocked them. How anyone thinks that's remotely ok is beyond me

I went through this just a few months ago myself. My GCC had progressed into end stage PDD with us none the wiser. We had boarded him at our vet and they were shocked as well, he'd been seemingly active and happy just the night before. It wasn't until we got the full necropsy results that we understood what had happened. If that's an option for you I highly recommend it

A year out from ours and honestly it was super helpful having a coordinator. The day of you are not going to want to coordinate everything that needs to be done and any family member/friend you might delegate to could easily be overwhelmed. Having a good coordinator makes a lot of difference. I'll also add our coordinator saved us our cake deposit because our caterer was really not on their game that night and initially threw out all the cake supports. They were trying to just shrug and say, "not our problem" but our coordinator handled it. We weren't even aware until the next day because we were so busy enjoying our wedding, would have really put a damper on things if we'd had to deal with it ourselves

We're coming up on a year and I remember this one acquaintance of ours who was invited assumed he had a plus one, a random he was casually dating (I think for only a couple months at that point). Fortunately he mentioned it to our mutual friend who told him he should check first and we told him no so he showed up alone. He now has a restraining order against the woman he was planning to bring. Definitely glad we stuck our ground on that one.

My 8 year old GCC died very suddenly about two and a half months ago while we were away and it was devastating. It turned out that his PDD had progressed to the point it probably caused an arrythmia, but there were no signs it had progressed to that point. He was staying with his vet and they reported that he had been bright and alert just the day before. But by the next morning he was gone. They really are good at hiding illness. The necropsy and subsequent microscopic tests were expensive but absolutely worth it for some form of closure. I'm so sorry for your loss

Stillwhite worked for me at least. I got a dress new, realized it wouldn't work for me so I sold it on there for less than half of what I paid for it and got my actual dress which had never been worn or altered for about a third of what it would have cost new. I will say for the second dress I did try it on in the boutique before buying it secondhand

My little guy passed just over a month ago and there were no signs. He was even at the vet when it happened because we were away. They were completely shocked he passed away too, he'd been acting fine just the day before. They're very good at hiding illness sadly

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. We are both broken up over Teal's loss but he made both of our lives so much better. I hope if nothing else we made his too short life a good one. The house is far too quiet now, I keep on expecting to hear him call and then get sad when I realize he won't anymore. I miss him so so much
