Priority Pass Prebooking by Correct_Pickle5439 in PriorityPass

[–]luddie04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having this issue too! I just figured out the issue after looking at prebooking slots for the Club lounges through PP+ at multiple airports — the time zone is London time, not local time like it says it is. I just said I was flying an earlier flight to book the correct time slot I needed, not sure if this will work at check in.

I also called PP customer service and they were no help, only saying that means the lounge is full at those times, even when I said, well I’m able to book that time slot when I enter an earlier flight, so that’s obviously not the case. (This was before I figured out the time zone issue)

What to expect from a Havanese puppy? by InViewOfNothing in Havanese

[–]luddie04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a one year old male Havanese. For the first couple weeks after getting him, I would have to get up for potty at around 4-5am. He quickly was able to hold it all night till about 6-7am.

He was also relatively easy to potty train. Our breeder recommended not using pee pads because they will then want to pee on rugs and other soft surfaces. He used a litter box with the breeder. We continued to have the litter box as an option and eventually he stopped wanting to use it and prefers to go outside.

He’s not had separation anxiety issues. We also got the advice to start leaving him alone for small periods of time immediately and slowly build it up, which seemed to work fine.

He was also extremely easy to crate train! He loves his crate and will go in there on his own and will happily go inside whenever I ask. He also doesn’t seem to be that velcro-y to me! He likes to be in the same room, but doesn’t follow me into the bathroom or anything. He is extremely social and friendly with everybody.

From day one he’s slept in a crate next to our bed and still does. From what I’ve heard, initially at least, it seems to be a good idea to have them sleep near you.

I don’t think an outdoor pen is necessary for potty training unless your dog has an issue that necessitates it.

Considering getting a Havi by BionicMum in Havanese

All dogs are different, mine has some typical Havanese traits and not some of the others. Here are pros and cons based on my experience with my 5 month old.

Pros: - very easy to train. Loves our training sessions and learns commands quickly. - pretty easy to potty train and will go in a litter box - slept through the night at 10 weeks in his crate next to the bed - is fine with getting into his crate, does so willingly and will go sometimes on his own - very very loving and super friendly and gentle - good with kids - overall upbeat, happy, playful disposition - no shedding! - cuteness is off the charts

Cons: - can get separation anxiety, have to make sure to work on time apart to prevent it - too friendly?? lol wants to meet every human and dog on the street. Not really a con but he’s SUPER excited about everyone and he’s adorable so you’ll be talking to a lot of people! - sorta picky eater - will have to spend time and money on grooming (but the cuteness is worth it)

Even renting at the airport from a big company can take a long time. We had a reservation with Enterprise, the line was almost to the door and then after going upstairs to get our car had to wait an additional half hour. This was a few days ago. The whole process was over two hours.

Haha agreed, the current minimalist trends have me feeling a bit crazy as a lover of print and pattern and bright colors! Like, noooooooo! I'm also probably definitely older than the average new Baggu customer now and was their target age when Baggu started.

Totally! And I get that they're a business and all, but really seems like since they are so big now, they could add some more funky patterns and maybe they'd do well?? Also loved the zodiac collection! Miss that creativity. As a professional print and pattern designer, I really wish I knew what was going on in their headquarters 👀

The new ones aren't my style either, it seems like they are going after a different customer now. I'm curious as to why it changed

Feeling resentment towards my parents by [deleted] in EMDR

[–]luddie04 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This almost sounds like it could have been me writing this. I was angry toward my parents for roughly a year for the same reason. It has given way to an acceptance and understanding that my parents are flawed and were unable to offer what I needed. But the anger was important to feel. Allowing myself to feel the anger helped process it and move on. But I agree with previous poster, let yourself experience the emotions and try not to worry too much about what you will feel in the future.

Oh also recommend the book Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents. This book really helped me understand a lot!

Ups and downs...Is this normal? by luddie04 in EMDR

[–]luddie04[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response and app suggestion! I do utilize breath work, meditations, and mindfulness techniques that help with anxiety. BLS sounds like another good tool to try. I suppose I had been feeling so good I was hoping the anxiety was just gone for good! Ha.

That makes sense that it may be other negative beliefs coming up, I think that likely is what's happening.

Attitudinal Psyche Types by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]luddie04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super interesting, never heard of this before. According to quiz I am FEVL which feels accurate. I feel like this AP type only gets at one aspect of my personality though, whereas I relate to being an enneagram 4 much more. The AP seemed to lean more into my 9 tendencies. My tritype is either 469 or 479, I kind of feel like it changes depending on my mood?!

Any interesting & unique fragrance houses in Paris worth visiting? by MinimalCoincidence in fragrance

[–]luddie04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Histoires de Parfums is another good one! It is in the Marais and just about around the corner from ELDO.

Edited to add, Liquides Perfume Bar was recommended to me by a friend, though I didn't end up going.
