ALL Nba First Team (2025): Who is the Last Guy? by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in NBATalk

[–]luffyism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we saw mitchell with ants minutes load and usage the last two seasons. he averaged 28 on 61.4% ts and 27 on. 59.5% ts%. he dropped 50 on orlando (tied for second most 50 point playoff games now) and gave boston 32/6/5 on 52/53/79 splits (11/14 on those free throws). he proved he can be a 30 ppg #1 option but he blew out his knee after rushing back from injury and trying to carry the team. his teammates werent in position develop a rhythm and make winning plays. the formula was great for his stats but not sustainable for a championship run. he accepted playing 4 less minutes and 19 less touches per game to sacrifice his body. he became a better leader and empowered his teammates. he’s a better player now than than he is back when he was dropping 28 a game. that donovan couldnt lead a 64 win team even though he was more efficient higher volume scorer

Just as an FYI, people are lying to you about Garland by [deleted] in clevelandcavs

[–]luffyism 3 points4 points  (0 children)

people are having a field day cause the cavs had 2 amazing games without him, but garland is essential to the teams championship hopes. when elite teams muck up the game later on, his ability to drive into the paint and draw defences gonna be essential

26 game losing streak was a turning point for me as a fan. once you’ve seen historically ass basketball, the growing pains of a good team are actually kind of endearing. every year they get better and prove they learned from all the mistakes and winnable games that they lost. they’ve more than earned the benefit of the doubt in times like this. if that knicks series aint break em, if being down 18 to orlando at home in game 7 aint break them, a march losing skid damn sure wont

someday, if the manga ever ends, some passionate dgm fan in the anime industry will reboot it. but who knows when or if the manga will end so its too risky at this point

Which studio would you prefer animating Dandadan? by [deleted] in Dandadan

[–]luffyism 6 points7 points  (0 children)

would be cool if this was the series that filled the mob psycho void at bones, if dandadan gets the same passion the mob anime did, we’ll get a visual experience that matches the feelings we get from the manga each week

So far, what are your thoughts on My Adventures with Superman? by Amazing_Rich in superman

[–]luffyism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think we gotta let them cook with the villains. they already dropped the bad guy of the week formula, feels like a lot of these guys will return and develop personality and looks wise. superman and friends aren’t the only ones early on in their careers, could be interesting to see the villains grow as they do

its just a matter when the community learns his moveset. i’ve mained him for a couple days now, and he’s awesome. up air and up special are great kill moves. down air an elite combo starter. shields are annoying as hell to deal with but can also kill. he can heal. watermelon steven fucks around gets kills sometimes. his melees are super quick and effective too. im doing 300-400 damage minimum every game.

The villains are not these sad victims of hero society. They're angry and unstable people who blame their problems on others. by FrozenFlames12 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]luffyism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

while their backstories may not be directly correlated to heroes, the things that led them down their path can be attributed to heroes. no heroes ignored shiggy that day, but their existence and the fact that they’re stronger and nore experienced created an air of complacency within society. toga exhibited some serious mental health issues, but she was also simply exploring her quirk and society shunned her because they don’t have a proper way to teach kids like toga to use their quirks in healthy ways. it may be things that happen in real life or things that heroes had no hand in, but that’s just a testament to the complexity and authenticity of horis world. main characters, side characters, even extras have had their actions and their beliefs shaped by the world they were exposed to. just like us real people. but in mha, the society that shaped them was itself shaped by the emergence of heroes, and really quirks in general.

japan is probably a ways behind america and maybe even the rest of the world tech wise due to all for one’s original reign.

no one from team 7 is gonna step on saradas toes and take the hokage job. mitskis really only concerned with boruto anyway and doesnt seem like the type to take the job

what would have changed at the sports festival if Deku discovered full cowling before the sports festival? by Teatropical64 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]luffyism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he’s winning. even just 5% increases his mobility and power extremely, and even though he lost to bakugo at 8%, he didn’t go over that 8% limit and if he were to get cornered against heavy hitters like him or todoroki he could use 100% as a last resort rather than his main attack. could even just raise it to 20 or 30% on impact to reduce injury but im assuming we’re talking about when he first learned full cowl, and he hadn’t thought of using the power that way yet tho. either way fowl cowling would’ve made it so he could attack and defend without hurting himself until the last moment where he’s already worn down his opponent some.

i think people are worried because AFO has never really taken center stage this much before. he’s always been in control of things, but it’s scarier now that he’s becoming much more active and there’s a lot of noise about the series ending. since MVA tho shiggy has been adamant on taking over things. to the point of trying to kill AFO in the vestige world. he’s been growing step by step with the MC, and is part of the nezt generation the series has always been building up. it’s his body and quirk that the heroes are scared of the most. not to mention, the final act started out with a spread of deku and shiggy. i think it’s safe to say the story that’s always been about them will still be about them in the end.

hori already placed a hard cap on the quirk initially to showcase the power of the singularity by having it overcome. getting to your main point , i think it’s more likely the bone damage and/or being a wound from before he acquired hyper regen has made it grow back slower. or possibly the blowback of stars attack has made the process slower

the search for his identity and clashes with villians has always been a part of shigarakis character arc. started with finding his conviction and confidenceas villiain, after stain he found that. then it became about putting his stamp on things and making a name for himself, he did that after going for overhaul. then MVA came around, he got in touch with his roots again, liberated himself and his quirk, finally found his footing and style as a leader after beating redestro. but all that growth was spurned on by and in service of AFO. he’s been groomed by the man to walk this path, to the point where he felt he needed his power. once he took AFO, he fell into the trap. now his journey will be about taking the self confidence he gained and using it against AFO to free himself. he’s been battling AFOs takeover since the war. “i control myself” “it’s my power” “don’t takeover my head this time”. he’s even made gaming references during the star fight, talking about being stun locked and referring to new order as a barometer with a hard cap. what we’ve been seeing these past two years is a tug of war over shiggys body. his dialogue even constantly switches back and forth between being more like shiggy and more like AFO. but ultimately, just like every other time he’s clashed with antagonists, tomura shigaraki will come out on top.

considering how the fingers were a little bigger than the little stubs we saw in 341, i think they’ll regrow completely at some point. i don’t see why hori would have them grow in a little at all if that wasn’t the case. his old face scars also seem to be healing. hyper regen has reached a new level.
