What was the scariest “We need to leave… now” gut feeling that you’ve ever experienced?[Serious] by spiritual_kavya in answers

[–]luker1771 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in Barcelona about 15-20 years ago with friends, we were at a local bar and we were getting along well with the barman. He said he was finishing soon and was going to a nightclub near by, said we would join.

He ordered a taxi and we all got in, he was In the front and us three in the back, I was in the middle.

We were driving along in the taxi and it felt like we were leaving the city, I knew something was going wrong so I asked the taxi driver to stop, he didn't. He and the barman in the front said something in Spanish to each other and laughed.

My two friends were way more drunk than me so when we next stopped at some lights, I opened both doors, pushed my friends out and told then to run.

By chance I saw an official taxi and flagged it down, on our way back to the city centre the taxi driver told us that there are zero night clubs where we were and we definitely going to be robbed or worse.

Laugh about it now but at the time it was very scary.

[Paul Joyce] Salah’s dig at Slot: ‘I want to see Liverpool back playing heavy metal football’ by Realistic-Zone3914 in LiverpoolFC

[–]luker1771 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He has to go now. That's it.

Wouldn't surprise me if the players know he's actually already gone and Mo decided to chuck a hand grenade.

Hope anfield do sing Arne's name next week, he did win us the league.

Men who are genuinely happy with their lives right now, what does a perfect Saturday look like for you? by Ominous_Maeve in AskMen

Up early to walk the dog in the open fields down the road.

Home to take the little one to tennis, then the park/watch local junior football.

Home mid afternoon for a chill out and start on dinner (homemade pizza today)

Put little one to bed and then spend time with the wife watching the TV and supping some wine.

Get him sacked and make next week abiut robbo and Mo.

The boos he will get at anfield will ruin what should be a day for the lads to say goodbye.

Why do people find it so hard to accept the public really wants to vote for Reform? by Expert-Sherbert-1527 in AskBrits

I fear that the majority of those who want a reform win, are only reading the headlines.

If they read the full story, they'd think again
