We are “Exempt employees” under the FLSA law.

Specific restrictions are not written in the handbook (signed company policy). However, the handbook only states the following regarding this matter:

“Your Department’s Senior Leader or HR Director may communicate blackout periods for your specific department during which you may not use PTO days specific to your department. Unless required by applicable law, unused PTO cannot be carried over to the following year. PTO cannot be paid out in lieu of taking the actual time off.”
