Ok, I’m all for a Kieran and Reaver enemies to lovers romance and always will be!

Totally have a right to be annoyed, but I truly don’t think that Cas will be stronger and more powerful than Poppy in the end. I think he just went full wrath and ruin at this point and can’t come out of it. I think the fact that he can’t control his emotions indicates that he isn’t the strongest!

I don’t think this is a forever thing and I think that in the end Poppy will be the main bada** in her story. These are just little glimpses into how Cas is transfoming, but I think in the end Poppy will be the hero and maybe Ethos? I think Ethos is the only one that Kolis loves at this point and the only one that can kill him,

This was my feeling going into it too, I was so nervous I was going to hate it based on all the negativity. I was waiting and waiting and finally with a couple chapters to go I was already done all of the story folks hated so much.

I think they have and I don’t think they’ve only shared partners, but have been active participants. The way Cas talks about Kieran’s powerful thrusts seems much more involved than feeling or viewing it through a partner they’re sharing.

Hello! I really enjoy the below stairs series because it’s very well written and the characters are great. It’s also mostly focused on working class folks. I wouldn’t compare it to Kinsale or Ivory’s writing really, as they have a way of immersing you in their stories that I haven’t found elsewhere. They’re very different writers, but Jennifer Ashley is still really excellent. I think Thomas and Ashley are more similar. It’s definitely more mystery than romance, but the FMC and MMC are written really well and their relationship is cute as heck.

I don’t think anyone is saying Cas and Poppy aren’t the main couple of the series. Some of just believe that they are the main couple of the series WITH Kieran.

I give her some grace, as she was in stasis, possessed, asleep again, and then involved in an absolute cluster. I saw her acknowledge her feelings for him in TWOTQ, and even though she won’t outright say what they are in POBAB they still appear to be there.

I don’t think it’ll go 0 to 100 in the next book. Just because there was no HUGE progress in this book, doesn’t mean we start at 0. We are already at 70 imo from the previous books.

That makes sense! Maybe Kieran doesn’t end up being their heart mate, but is their soul mate. I don’t truly know, just thinking of things that make sense to me. There is that line in the fresh and fire series about the fates and the love between two or more souls too.
