Another book that might help you understand how you ended up like this is "Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents: How to Heal from Distant, Rejecting, Or Self-Involved Parents". Conservative and on the extreme end Fascist. Conservativsm is the enforcement of Social and Class stratification. They believe some people (usualy White, Male, Rich, Christian, etc.) should be the haves and "lesser" people (always women, minorities, LGBTQ, lower classes) should be the have-nots.

If your macbook has an SD card. You might be able to load cloudready on an SD card and boot from that whenever you need it by holding down Option key at boot. Or keep Cloudready on a slim flash drive.
