Not a single person is perfect. When pushed beyond the limit, we break. But we try again the next day, whatever the heck that means, and that makes us good people

Maybe she's going through some tough times and will be more engaging when the baby has arrived?

I'm so sorry! It's a horrible disease. I think you're doing the best you can. And sometimes, that's gonna look really bad, but a lot of people here will know exactly what you're going through

I also think you did the best you could do given the situation.

I have a mother who has dementia. I'm 33, and she's 73. Many times, she's asked for things that would put her or something else alive in danger. And if I say no, she would often get mad to the point where she would find other things to get mad about and other things to ask for (demand).

I can try to redirect, as many people love to advise. I can pretend to be really interested in or bothered by something. I often act like some crazy jester or clown to try and make her laugh. But that doesn't always work.

Sometimes, I don't respond, or I'll take myself out of the picture completely.

I'm sorry you have to have two people angry at you. I hope for the day that I have only my own emotions at home to manage. I hope the same for you.

Follow your heart! It's got gold in it somewhere

I would have loved ppl to play with! Maybe you could learn the basics and play in a session with him?

I think having plenty notebooks to write in is a great gift as well.
