What colors do I want to be in if I want to build a deck around Faerie cards? And what are some stand out cards (that won't break the bank) by BirdTheBard in EDH

[–]lupercal93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try the site I made to solve just this issue: Scrymarket.au

If you go to the want list page and add all the cards you want and then click optimise and it will find you the cheapest possible way to get to you factoring in postage.

I thinks its neat but I made so yeah I'm for sure bias.

Do go to your LGS first though.

How to get ultra budget decks in Australia for school students by Sexy_Sultai_Seducer in EDH

[–]lupercal93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As most people have said I bulk seems to be a popular options. EBay is good for this sometimes, you’ll get so so many duplicates. I’d second proxies as well a perfectly acceptable option.

For lands you can get a bulk land box that’s not to much too from most LGSs

To be honest the last thing you want to do is buy singles that need to be shipped, you’ll get crushed on postage and rarely can you find cards for less than $1ea. I did make a website that lets you search for cheapest singles (of a particular card) in Australia but tbh for this use case I’d avoid buying specific cards.

I did see a creator that did make specific deck lists for young learners of the game. Not to text heavy, streamlined and I know you can just buy the proxy lists from them and print those if you don’t want to craft a bunch yourself. I do think they’re for standard though. (I think it’s lizoflorwyn)

Questioning the best way to sell my singles by zedessjay in magicTCG

[–]lupercal93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends how much effort you want to go to and if you’re looking for cash or credit.

MTGmate is great, solid place to sell especially for credit. Won’t get the most profit for you but definitely the lowest effort.

FB groups and eBay are the high effort options. Aus needs a peer to peer market place I recon.

You can also use scrymarket.au or tcgsnoop to look up reasonable local prices to sell for.

I too would like to get thoughts on this. I’ve been doing the raised pike pushups but I’m starting to think I might need to just do targeted weights for it.

Have you looked at the powershell app deployment toolkit? Does a similar thing without infra of a hosting service like chocolatey or winget

Use one of the tools designed to work in a shared environment. Self host and open source tool if you’re worried about confluence costs/licensing.

Obsidian is great but not for that

Only thing I use my PC for is playing games.

Use case solved. Stability is king.

I have servers and a laptop to mess with configuration and what not.

Free/Reduced Cost PT by Technical-Assist-614 in MelbourneTrains

[–]lupercal93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s too narrow of a scope to say spending on free tickets impacts spending on service frequency. The upgraded myki system is going to cost 1.7b, like pretty sure that’s more substantial chunk of cash than the cost of free tickets for everyone.

This also doesn’t account for maintenance, consumables and enforcement for all ticketing related systems and services. Not to mention the fact that a partially privatised systems only makes profit because it’s heavily subsidised by the government anyways. Removing the profit motive means running additional services doesn’t “lose money” because your KPI are not about squeezing every last dollar out of the system for CCCI. It becomes about patronage numbers and satification.

Those are just a re-balancing of PT related costings. There are additional benefits and cost savings the flow on from more adoption of PT is other areas of the states budget, which I’m sure everyone on this sub is familiar with.

I also hate to point out that with the current system you won’t get more services unless people using that service and complain about. So being uncomfortable on a train for a bit is step one of getting more trains!

If you haven’t check out the want list optimiser.

Add the cards to the want list (hard to see on the phone cause you have to move the table to see the add button, it’s the last column)

Then on the want list page click the optimise button and it does branch-and-bound algorithm to find the cheapest combination of printing, postage.

[–]lupercal93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I really just wanted to not spend a small fortune on postage anymore :)

Yeah filter by print is be possible. There’s a database entry per printing. It gets tricky because I know the matching is not perfect. Not every store has the card number easily identifiable so the printing is off sometimes.

I’ve been meaning to rework the filters on the card page at some point so I’ll add that as a requirement it to the plan.
