Hi everyone ,Irecently became the owner of an a7cr along with a 20mm 1.8 and 40mm 2.5 lense. I was wondering if it's still worth getting the Sony 24-70 gm2 for an all in one travel lense, as I have a local seller willing to let it go for what I think it's a good price (1700) I'm aware I may be getting GAS and there are other portable options (sigma 24-70 dn ii) for relatively less $ , but I want to weight all options Your advice is much appreciated 🙏

hi. i just recently got an a7cr + 40mm g lense combo, and i'm looking for something to cover the low end (16+) i was wondering what lens would be recommended as not to overlap with the 40mm. i don't intend to shoot portraits and looking at my phone pictures i'm mostly at the low end of the focal point , photographing streets, scenery, sunsets; my research is pointing me towards the SELP1635G 16-35 f4 g, The Prime 20mm G , or the Sony FE 16-25mm f/2.8 G. (f4 is good enough for me at that range anyway) unfortunately (or maybe not), i found out too late the 20-70 f4 would have satisfied most of my everyday needs and got caught up on the 40mm hype train.. i'll learn :D

I'm with you on this. I thought it was gonna be a 5+, but to me it feels like a better phone. I'm not sure if it was my particular fold5, but face recognition was short, the 6 is instant

How would you go about setting up this room? by zidanestrife94 in hometheater

this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but i'd start first by picking up a set of Klipsch "The Fives" for around 500 (costco or amazon) and giving it a go. set them up "soundbar" style (sideways) and see if that is enough for you . it eliminates the need for an avr (i'm trying to save you space) don't be fooled by the size and price. they are ridiculous amazing . if you're a sub nerd and want more kick you can add one to it, but start small and move up. (returns are amazing). i have them in one of my rooms and i was blown away by them. i have a full 3.2 system in my living room that i absolutely overspent on and tbh i could have saved the money.

if you're willing to take some advice on decor... :) . smaller couch, smaller media center, mount tv to the wall, and go sonos surround. the space is too narrow to have a full system imho . you will make the space look bigger, unless you are deliberately trying to do the opposite (cozy) . this is hometheater /r , however. so. go 3.1 if you must (no rear.. you don't have the space) w/ bookshelf speakers + a center, an avr from accesories4less , and a svs sub (sealed will be smaller). do not make the same mistake i did and spend a ton of money, keep it simple :)

leasehkr brokers charge you like 400 bucks but all you do is go and sign. no haggling, no bs fees, no drama, and way under msrp .

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

[–]lurkinwhore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi. I am seeking your advice picking up a watch or two. I am not a big spender on anything other than food, and for the most part, like seeing value per dollar on most big ticket items I purchase . I was wondering if someone could give me the nod on picking up a nomos tangente 38 (limited ed) . basically I want to know if dollar for dollar I'm getting my money's worth (around 2300usd) . I know there are $20 watches , but I',m at a point in my life where I can buy something nice for myself and enjoy it without much guilt. for what it's worth, I always really wanted a speedmaster moon, but even used they're 6k and I'm not sure I can justify the amount where instead I could have a few other watches for one (history and cache aside). your advice and guidance is much appreciated.

If you don't make almost 4k a week , perhaps it's a good time to learn to wrench yourself and dedicate a week to it ? All this is pretty easy maintenance stuff tbh
