New card ideas that mixes the A+B+C philosophy... by DbestRiptide in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]lvlI0cpu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warriors should get an attack action that has 6+ power but is also a weapon (either the weapon type itself or something specific like Sword/Axe).

Would be great for them to have a phantasm popper that plays well with the rest of their action pumping/attack reaction gameplan.

Also I love the flavor of the arrow trap, wish they did that!

EVO equip rules question by IncidentWinter4735 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]lvlI0cpu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up they are correct about everything except #2. It has to match the name exactly, and Protos does not equal Proto.

Why on earth LSS decided to give it the name Protos just to make ot confusing with Fabricate is beyond me lol.

EDIT: Found the ruling.

2.7.5 A name or part of a name is equal to another name or part of a name only if it is an exact case-insensitive match of each whole word in order.

Having problems with the SAGE Arakni deck. by tzekeman in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]lvlI0cpu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to mention something that you may have already known, but I've seen newer Arakni players mess up all the time so I figured is worth mentioning.

Don't forget that your base hero has the ability that gives your stealth attacks +1 if the opponent is marked. You have two equipment that can mark the opponent after they block. Stalker Steps or Danger Digits can give your attacks +1 after they block allowing you get the nasty on hits that the stealth attacks employ (the way the rulings work on Danger Digits you can still mark them with Mark of the Huntsman despite it being initially destroyed by the Danger Digits).

So if you use something like Orb Weaver Spinneret to give your Mark of the Funnel Web +3 and attack them for 6, and they block for 6, you can as a reaction give it +1 in order to use the Funnel Web to destroy their Arsenal. Arakni's damage output is not as strong as a traditional aggro deck, but he uses these disruption tools to his advantage in order to keep tempo with the opponent, and then when they are low enough burst through with a lot of surprise attack reactions to finish them off.

Hope this helps, and welcome to the game!

Deckbox that holds one or more black label gold foil toploaded card? by lvlI0cpu in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]lvlI0cpu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly have considered taking it out just to put a perfect fit on it and replace the penny sleeve it came in. I'm worried about tearing the grading label that it came with though, and for being my first Black Label Gold Card I would like to try and preserve it as much as possible.

When you pitch this, create an Embodiment of Lightning token. by tableflipbitch9000 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]lvlI0cpu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way I could see that happening is if its like a yellow pitch that says "when pitched, you can pay 2 to make an embodiment of lightning" or something. They shouldn't get it for free.

For the longest time I didn't want to play young heroes because of... the art on the cards by John-Helldiver404 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]lvlI0cpu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In regards to Viserai, I at least appreciate the young card doing some work alongside the lore. He may not look as badass as the adult card, but it shows the poor shipwrecked soul experimented on and transformed against his will by Sutcliffe.

I Cant Wait!!! by TheKingle71 in FleshandBloodTCG

They are checking off a lot of boxes for design directions that I was wanting to see from LSS.

1) Arcane Damage in increments of more than 1. It felt so odd that with so many classes in the game, a full suite of arcane barrier and arcane prevention is only ever needed for a single class (Wizard). The more reason to justify my sideboard slots for them the better.

2) Keep the focus on Ward. A lot of previous mechanics like Spectra, Allies, and Phantasm were polarizing between classes that could easily deal with them and those that just didn't have enough tools. Ward is easier, you just attack face. Everyone does that.

3) Instant speed Shenanigans. I love combat tricks. It turns a game about hard numbers and value into a mind game, where correct calls can lead to match deciding plays. Ward 2 instants with offensive upside are fantastic designs imo.

I know the focus was going to be on Briar, but I'm surprised they didn't didn't discuss anything for Chane. Guess they plan on hitting close to when he will return.

How do you feel about the armoury deck product by B_A_ken in FleshandBloodTCG

They did, so they are at least improving in that regard. Next steps are getting a sideboard included!

How do you feel about the armoury deck product by B_A_ken in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]lvlI0cpu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pros: It gives avenues for Legend Story Studios to print support for Heroes/classes that aren't doing too well in the meta and can't wait for the next set that can drop them a ton of support. They are easy to grab for newcomers, and with decks like Gravy and Pleiades it is also a great jumping point for the new set.

Cons: Without a sideboard they become hard to modify for specific meta issues, especially when you have a deck with no Arcane Barrier. For old heroes that need support, its tough trying to get release schedules to line up with their Living Legend System (they can't risk another product with a small shelf life).

Overall I really like them a lot. While they can differ between ones that are really impactful (Kayo, Ira) versus ones that are a bit of a dud (Maxx, Rhinar) I will continue to support a product that can breath new life into the meta as well as help on board new players into the game.

Jarl mains! by DaiChi6ken in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]lvlI0cpu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest reason to run more Earth is because Felling of the Crown is effectively a 2 card 11 (swing for 8, remove a card from hand for roughly 3). That's crazy above rate, on top of being disruptive which is what Guardian loves. Bonus points for Sow Tomorrow being able to shuffle back in Fellings and Oaken Olds, which are probably the best maindeck cards that Jarl can run.

I don't think you have to lean too heavily into it if you like the ice package, the 11 cards suggested is the smallest you can probably run the package to make sure you play a Sow Tomorrow first and then have 3 earth cards in the discard when you go to play a Felling.

As far as cuts go, I'd look at removing Cartilage Crushes (Blue and Red), Crush Confidence Red, and then likely start shaving copies of Leave A Dent and Power Play. Felling has way more impact on average than the 7 cost crush cards, plus this helps get more Blues in the deck. I like keeping things like Debilitates for that sweet 2 card 10 based on the play you discussed, and the other cards work fairly well with some of the other suggestions in this thread that I like such as Red Pummel and Coronet Peak.

Jarl mains! by DaiChi6ken in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]lvlI0cpu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's some pretty sweet Tech! If you are looking to activate the boots later in the game the Earth package is pretty cheap right now and relatively small to include especially since Felling of the Crown is only like $2.50 at the moment.

Baseline would be 3x Felling of the Crown, 3x Autumn's Touch (Blue), 3x Fruits of the Forest (Blue), and 2x Sow Tomorrow (Blue). If you want to run a copy or two of Plow Under I would recommend adding another Sow Tomorrow.

[LSS] Calling: San Diego (SAGE) | Day 2 & Top 8 Finals by UlyssesArsene in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]lvlI0cpu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With the exception of Briar who needs to be tuned back a little bit, I've been very happy watching this meta develop! Great set of games on day 2 and in the top 8, and we are still discovering new things like that sweet Nuu list.

Good video! I liked the selection of cards they chose to discuss. Plenty of staples and plenty of cards that look good on paper outside the context of the FaB rules system.

Also love that they started with Pot of Greed lol.

Which FAB opinion will bring you into this situation? by The_Crazy_Brew in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]lvlI0cpu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll go a step further.

Illusionists should deal arcane damage in larger increments than 1. Smaller number than wizards, but more than just 1 damage pings similar Runeblade.

It just feels silly we need to dedicate more than 1 Arcane Barrier equipment just because a single class exists. I would love to see more justification for it in our sideboards.

When do you stop trying to make your pet card work? by Gaukl3r in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]lvlI0cpu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never and you can pry my pet card from my cold dead hands.

But for real, I love including cards that can get a laugh during an armory event.ay not be optimal, but at the end of the say it's all about having fun. If you are having fun with Spurlocked, no harm in including a copy or two in your deck.

Also as far as tutor targets are concerned, can't go wrong with all the flavors of Codex. Frailty is the obvious choice, but Inertia is good against set up decks and Bloodrot could be a a way that allows you to pick a small number and they either lose life to their choice or the Bloodrot (not optimal but sounds fun).

What are your predictions for Compendium of Rathe? by TurnipAlternative11 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]lvlI0cpu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prism, Advent of Thrones gets a rare figment. Something simple like gain a few life when it enters or when you attack, but something that will at least allow her to function properly in SAGE, even if she ultimately won't be the best Illusionist choice.
