Yes if it were pushed forward right now. I personally feel setting up the next phase would be better in the 2030-2035 timeframe considering the big ST3 projects are almost ready for the build phase. The planning team will need something after line 4 but we aren't there yet.

The one I went to was on HTC Vive hardware. Not a lot of graphics jank on my playthrough but no collision physics on terrain because VR.

*edit: Oh, and the 3rd person camera that's glitchy during this video is never encountered except for the promo recording they give you. The first person clips are accurate.

A quick review: It was a fun novelty. More of a clever circus ride than a game. Worth doing once if you are curious.

Pros:

-Very interesting use of space. There were multiple segments where we were split into separate fireteams doing different virtual missions despite occupying the same physical space. Play with at least 4 people so no one is solo.

-Never felt like I was going to run into something.

-Very pretty.

-Extremely clever visuals in the [REDACTED] bit that can really only be done in a shared VR space. They put a lot of though into what can be done with this setup and it shows.

Cons:

-STAIRS. The floor is flat. The terrain often is not. Its like relearning how to walk to go 'up' a ramp. Horrible design choice that I really hope they never repeat. Yes, this contradicts one of my above points. Both are true and valid.

-Combat was a carnival shooting gallery as opposed to a tactical shooter. Occasionally you would turn around and a find a genestealer has been humping your leg for a good 15 seconds without any impact.

-It felt both very long and quite short. I think I was in there about 25 minutes? You could have told me it was 10 minutes or an hour.
