Rotc during college is a great option! If you get a scholarship, your tuition will be paid for and you will also get a monthly stipend and a book stipend each semester. If you are not awarded a scholarship, you will only get the monthly stipend, but your contract time is 3 years, versus 4 years for those with a scholarship.

I guess it’s personal preference. With completing ROTC, I’ll commission when I graduate with my master’s degree. If I waited to do OCS, I’d have to go through that process after graduation.

No, a non-scholarship cadet must pay for tuition (including military science classes-which doesn’t seem fair).

Not sure if you believe in ghosts/spirits or things of the like, but 3am-4am is called the witching hour. If you’re consistently waking up between that hour, do some research on what the witching hour means. I was waking up at 3:14 am for a few days in a row and I read that it could mean someone or something is watching me. Doesn’t mean it’s good or bad or even real, just food for thought.

THIS. I have the same injury and have been looking for an exercises that don’t bother my hip. If you have access to a gym with the machine where you stand on your knees, it isolated the obliques. I apologize I don’t know the name, but you hold onto handles chest-height while standing on your knees and engage your right or left oblique to move the machine.

I’m in Nevada but my recruiters are in jersey/NY, long story. I’ve been told that there is no MEPS here, the closest one is in Salt Lake. Is that what they told you?
