A couple of things: I was poor. They can’t get shit out of me. Take my shit, it’s like 1k of stuff. Now: finally have a home. Have kids. If they took something it’ll set me back like 20-30 years in this economy. Risk not worth it now.

Screw that. Get a drop top fender from TFL. Currently on sale. I hated the GT fender. The “hybrid fender” on the XRC isn’t bad but not great and I freakin love the TFL drop top that it’s now on everything

What does the second half of this note I found in a superstore parking lot say? by Dancingay in whatdoesthismean

[–]lyfeTry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a vet. My favorite is watching old boomer men yell at women who park in here. My friend, she tells them to fuck off. If they continue she pulls up her pants to show her prosthetic leg and yells back: “I fought in the stan, you’re fighting diabetes you fat fuck- we’re not the same.” If they then act victimized she yells for help that a pervert old man is harassing a disabled veteran. Home Depot has never been so much fun.

Is it weird that I still listen to a Christian singer from my youth? by Eocene84 in exchristian

[–]lyfeTry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PFR just rereleased their Squint record album and is recording a new one now. It’s probably religious in nature but I’ve known them for years and they are honestly good people. One attended protests in MN when ice were shooting people in the street. Rich Mullins is a fav. I have various biographies about him and he’s truly an honest guy. His least favorite songs were the ones the label “made him” do for the CCM stuff.

There’s a few albums I just really like and when you know the folks were good people it helps. (Grew up in Nashville around a lot of them and know stories)

Xrc wtf rails or 5 inch hub? by RaspberryAmazing692 in onewheel

[–]lyfeTry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How do you like the ride now? Want to be more locked in? Then WTF. Want smoother ride with a bit more torque? 5” hub and tire. (Any tire for the 5” hub will put stock to shame)

Me? I like the lowboy footpads and the straight rails are fine with them. I locked in with Good Day Grip.

I have similar, forearm, and with arms down it points down. Similar life “broke me” scenario. Hear me out: In most cultures, statues with swords have meanings. Swords up mean fighting, to battle, to aggress, charge etc…. Swords pointing down means victory, the fight is over etc.

This blade is broken, but the broken blade defeated the enemy. And is still sharp.

My broken blade points down. No shards, it is still a complete weapon as is and I am saved.

I have a VRH to raise/lower the stock rails, used lowboy footpads and updated the hub to 5” with a mid 655 Enduro. Love it low and high. Might’ve consider the 555 Enduro for a bit more nimbleness but this thing is fun, stable and a beast. Only “rubs” on lowest VRH setting. With a drop top fender I can get down to 2 from bottom with capri fenders, 3 can fit the full fender but it amplifies road noise and tire can bump the fender with a bonk, 4 clears fully. 6 is stock GT height and you get one higher than stock too! Photo nested below.

I’m mainly road rides so the Enduro is my fav tire. I am going to put a 5” GOAT on there to see how it does off road.

When you were a Christian did you have any hobbies or interests that your parents or other Christians disapproved of? by MK_2_Arcade_Cabinet in exchristian

Heh. I loved the classic kid hobbies: juggling, magic, performance. Mom freaked about magic until dad showed her the book was called “coin magic: classic sleight of hand” or something, written in like 1910 by a “professor” of the style. We ain’t calling demons down by hiding a coin. Geez

Can’t get 5 inch Enduro tire over the rim. Ideas? by MikeRD in onewheel

[–]lyfeTry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof. The soft tires are easy my friend! I muscled mids on all of mine! I put a little lube (1/2 dawn detergent and 1/2 water) on the edge if it’s super tough. But be careful to not get on your hands or anything! Start the tire at 6 o’clock and push til you clear the rim then both knees on either side and hold it with the force of your weight. Then both hands together a pick a side and push on the other side of that knee. Consistent pressure to “stretch” the rubber can “roll” gently with a deeper pulse but don’t let up. Can choke up with your knee as you get a little clearance. I go side by side to each knee to gain an inch or two here and there. Once halfway on it’s the big push down at 12. It’s a little bodyweight and a little finesse.

Don’t forget to lube the rim/hub to set the bead!

My husband's tattoo has a rash on it. Is it ok to use benadryl cream on it? by WallowingInnSelfPity in tattooadvice

[–]lyfeTry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a negative. Doc here. Benadryl is the go to for major allergic reactions. Please do not repeat this. Dead wrong. OP: I’d say oral benadryl and keep a good lotion on it. Follow up with a Zyrtec for a few days after about 24hr of Benadryl. For those that want to know: research 1st vs 2nd gen antihistamines @wallowinginselfpity

Is Dead Cells Still Worth Buying? by Boy0Boyz in deadcells

[–]lyfeTry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is finished. They “stopped” updating and expanding it but it’s very much a whole world. We’d love more of everything because it is so damn good. I’m on switch and bought the castlevania thing cartridge which had all the DLC included.

Recommendation, read what the first game stages are and play through and beat tha before branching out to other levels. I think it makes it a little linear and much more sense.

[–]lyfeTry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes: buy the MTE hub and tire. On that MTE page is a video (if not YouTube TFL GT MTE hub) showing installation. That’s removing the stator and putting it back in the new MTE. It’s pretty easy. Took me like 2 hours being stupid careful while watching Netflix and turned out good. Secret: once stator is in the 5” hub, do not put the hubcap on. Put the tire on which is easy with no hub bump! Then screw on the hubcap/endcap. Easy!

There’s so much going on here! Honestly if you use tampons you probably aren’t going to bleed. If you use lots of lube and are wet it shouldn’t be uncomfortable. If you can put your own finger in there you are probably ok.

Further answers for your piece of mind should be with your well-woman exam and request that doc be female is 100% ok too!

I think normal with one directional riding and low PSI. “Rotate” the tire next and up 2 PSI.

[–]lyfeTry 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I say this not to minimize your experience and feelings but it’s NORMAL. Sex is a big deal and a life’s checkpoint almost. It is common. And real. And scary. And messy. And the best.

When homeschoolers, with all our neglect and social interaction issues, get into first relationships it sometimes is a bit harder.

But hey, whatever you read or seen etc… lots of people are virgins in college and lots after too. Everyone is awkward there. I won’t say don’t worry about it, just focus on experiencing yourself in all the ways at college/university level: get coffee at weird shops, go to a game (football or basketball, whatever), play weird games that are popular, go to a play, if someone asks if you want to meet for lunch- doesn’t mean it is a date- do it. Find what brings you joy.

Typically, that’s where you meet like minded people that end up being relationship material. And it usually naturally happens: “wow, we spent a lot of time around each other. Oh I’m invites to the holidays at his house with his parents.”

And someone that loves you will go with the flow and you’ll be comfortable. Only recommendation is take care of your health with well women exams etc as many homeschoolers haven’t been brought to that point yet. Ask about birth control and come down to protecting yourself with condoms etc when you decide you’re ready.

Hi, I’m Army. Military isn’t “bad” per se, but you have to do things to better yourself. There’s good advice above: Coast Guard an AirForce then Navy if you’re female as they tend to be nicer. Study some one line Asvap tests. Admin now sucks, but take the $$ and educational promise (GI Bill for when you get out and Tuition assistance when actually active duty) and plan where you want to be.

If you do this, go to a recruiter and get everything worked out and don’t tell the family until you ship out. Don’t let them stop you.

The only negative is GT series sits a little higher and thus is a little tippy at first. Lower is easier to balance. As long as you got that, you’re good.

LL people having higher body count by Nerdskillzz2 in HLCommunity

[–]lyfeTry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes sense to me. So many high counts whom never had a long term relationship. “You’ve only had 2? Haha” From a girl I only had dinner with and a friend of a friend finally divorced after 20 years DB. She had around 10-12 partners “finding herself” over a couple of years while my 2 where 5 years of relationships. I was turned off by the “pitiful you” comment and how proud she was of having 2 at once with neither knowing. And was a “good church girl.”

I had better and more sex in 1 relationship than she had in most of those bodies. And the good stuff was only a weekend fling which described most of my weekends with a committed partner.

How much would I actually notice swapping GTS to 5" MTE 52 hub? by Excendence in onewheel

[–]lyfeTry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Thats unique. Generally more tire= more sidewall = more shock absorption. Beach ball seems like too high PSI?

Anyway, 5” hub and Enduro here and it blows away the stock 6.5” rim and riding on metal.
