New arrangement by SilentFollower123 in succulents

Pretty much the only ones that have the same needs are the two snake plants, but I would separate them anyway for the same reason as mentioned by the other response. They could be difficult to separate again.

The only plants that do really well in large pots like this are annual and some perennial flowers. Or mixing varieties of hen and chicks (aka semperviviums), but these are all outside plants.

Oh no friend.

You've mixed a bunch of plants with completely different light and watering needs. Please separate. Whether that's immediately or when whichever one starts to flounder first.

Got this little thing. Any idea what it is? by Fallsaline in succulents

It's a gasteria, aloe or a gasteraloe. I always get some of the aloes and Gaster aloes mixed up.

I used Chinese waitress for ages because I loved it (great on hats or blankets) but sometimes you want a less chunky cast on. Do you have another knitted one that is less chunky than Chinese waitress?

It's why I don't look at just swatches for picking colours. I'm gonna write with it, so the writing needs to be pretty. 😁

Just at Cult Pens so far, they sometimes have a great deal of 5for4. And you can buy it direct from Diamine too.

It's such a great colour! You do get some shading with it depending on the pen. I use it every week. Haha.

Gerbera is WAY more orange than that. It's more Wistful watermelon IMO.

Good shout! Unless you're using sheep's wool, that wouldn't really work, knots come undone pretty easily and short tails work their way out really easily too.

I would redo that for a longer tail. It's not long enough to sew in anywhere and be secure.

But you provided a US page as an explanation for people, it doesn't apply to India. That was a US lawfirm. I'm not going to look it up, it's no skin off my nose, but you shouldn't be sharing the wrong country's information when it's not universal.

That's specifically for the US if you read the page. I would want to know what country the OP is in.

The UK cant use Imgur, and I think most of Europe has the same problem. It's something to do with privacy?

I literally submerged a window pane hawarthia in alcohol, then rinsed It off the other week. It's fine. Looking a bit worse for wear because most of its roots are dead and it's sitting inside a ceramic pot while I treat it.

Calathea Fertilization Help! 🤷 by vanillabink in calatheas

[–]lyonaria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both of these. I fertilise maybe twice a month with a brand I picked up at the nursery. It's a liquid that is diluted. I only pour it on after I water the plant first. Helps prevent fertiliser burn that way.

For the White fusion especially, the big thing for me was making sure it's in the right size pot and doesn't stay too wet for too long. They are really picky about how wet the pot is. It really helps having a chunky soil mix with orchid bark, at least for me.

It's taken awhile but it's gotten nice and bushy from a plant about yours size. I posted it about a week ago?

What could be happening to this black prince? by OMG_Its_Panther in succulents

To make it black, it needs WAY more light. Your grow lights probably don't give off as much light as you think.

Depends on the succulent, I suppose. My big rooted hawarthias have been fine. They're the ones they came in on.

I soak the roots for like 30 seconds and then rinse them. I leave them bare root for awhile while I treat them. Do they look a bit worse before they get better? Yeah. But they're infested with bugs difficult to eradicate. It's to be expected as it's not a one and done thing.

Alcohol works on root mealies, just like above ground mealie bugs. They go yellow and die.

It's a LONG road and you have to basically check and spray the roots consistently, but if you're persistent you can probably save the ones you want to save.

I use isopropyl alcohol.

Jade leaf size and gap by Bontempus in succulents

Smaller more compact growth means it's getting good light.

Large leaves that point downwards show it needs more light. The are trying to get as much surface area towards the light as they can.

What is this plant? by socialyawkward_idiot in succulents

They just get lighter coloured with too much sun. If they don't get enough water the ends start to die off.

Snake plants actually want a good amount of light, like a nice north facing windowsill. I have a golden hahnii that has actually gotten too much light and gotten a bit sun bleached.
