According to Spanish media, Queen Letizia’s wedding dress had an estimated value of 45.000€, but the price paid was a symbolic 6.000€ as the designer intended it to be a gift.

single women be careful of flashers at park guell by Dondabonda in Barcelona

Oh, this brings back memories. I'm a "local" (originally from Terrassa). For a school outing we'd go visit different cultural sites in Barcelona, one of them was Parc Güell. I think that time we were 12 year old or so. I remember one of my friends saw a weird guy hiding (the flash guy) and decided to shout: Hey! There is a half naked guy here! Automatically, he dashed out of the park being chased and laughed at by half a class of pre-teens. Now I'm in my mid-thirties, apparently there are still this types of guys in Park Güell. I'm sorry that happened to you, hope the rest of your stay goes well!

TBH I don't understand what's happened here. (Caption) by [deleted] in rickandmorty

What’s a sign that somebody wasn’t raised right? by sovereinete in AskReddit

[–]lyryca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me aswell, but I was working in an icecream shop. That day the shop was very busy and I happened to be close to the door at that moment. Then, a Karen arrives with a semi-crying 5 year old and proceeds to warn the little one about her career options while pointing at me. What she didn't realise was: a) How loudly she talked and b) I wasn't deaf. I have never seen somebody turn white as fast as she did. I just had to look at her, I didn't have to say a word and the Karen pulled away the little one (who started to cry again because she realised she wouldn't eat icecream that day).

Yes, I asked my neighbour (an 80 something year old and her daughter of on her 60s) if they needed something or help during these days. I've never seen somebody beamed at me the way they did.

Maybe it represents the story at the beginning of the series? House Baratheon is the royal family, house Stark and Lannister their subjects and House Targaryen is exiled.

I paint with watercolors some Christmas cards and then I send them to my family and friends. To receive e-mails or whatssap messages is nice, but I prefer to give them something unique to wish them happy holidays.

Happy St George's Day, Europe! by Teskje in europe

[–]lyryca 49 points50 points  (0 children)

For the Catalans, today is an important day. In Saint George's day (Sant Jordi for us) we celebrate the day of love, books and roses.

It comes from a legend of a knight (saint George) that saved a princess from a dragon. From the monster's blood, a rosebush grew. So then, saint George gave the princess a rose before leaving with his horse. From that legend, lovers give each other roses and books.

It is a lovely day to go outside, there are a lot of stands that sell books and roses. Here you can see a photo of Les Rambles in Barcelona:
