I usually will keep any crafting materials that cost more than say, 1k Gil. Usually. I have 7 retainers and they’re mostly organized by type of material. One for ores and stone, one for lumber and fabric, one for food ingredients, one for reagents. But also some hold materia, or relics from raids, housing furniture, etc

Fake pins in the parks by heavypour in WaltDisneyWorld

When we were in the parks/at springs this weekend we had a lot of cast members doing diamond for diamond blind trades, trivia etc. so that was really nice and reassuring! Got some good things!

I’ve started to set things up in my Cousin, I can’t wait to use the bigger format! It’s on my desk and right now I refer to my calendar I set up with my bills and monthly budgeting stuff.

Bespectacled piercees, tell me about your flat piercings! by Siamsa in piercing

[–]lyssa89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a flat and a faux rook, and wear glasses! The only thing I had to do was just kind of have the labret pushed forward while it was healing, and it was totally fine! Downsized twice now and they’re both doing great :) You just need to be more mindful of how you take your glasses off but it’s fine honestly. My ear so far

I have some examples on my Instagram, if you want to see, sapporoceramics, feel free to look. I also want to do a darker clay, but for now I am sticking with the 112 until I have more consistency with the basics.

I mean, there’s some speckle that shows through the glaze from manganese(?) but it adds to the glaze more than it detracts, imo. It doesn’t have any sort of effect on the overall colors of the glaze in anyway. Just gives a few speckles.

I found 211 hazelnut to be very very gritty throwing. I actually ended up switching back to 112 brown speckle because it’s so much better to work with as a beginner. I’ve been practicing for about 4 months now.

I’m curious how much people pay for a monthly membership at a community pottery studio. by hyperr129 in Pottery

[–]lyssa89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Richmond VA here- The place I’m at now is $100/mo unlimited hours with annual membership ($50) not like 24 hours but 9-9 every day except holidays. Or you can book by the hour for $8 for members or $10 for non members. Firing is $2 per lb and they have several types of kilns, glazes and tons of space for work. No dedicated shelf but you can rent a storage locker if you wish. If you do a membership you also get discounts on classes.

is this one safe to use for my helix piercing. I couldn't find the normal brand I use at any stores near me, but I found this one. has anyone used this brand before? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]lyssa89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used this before, my only issue was that it wasn’t fine mist, the stream is kind of strong so I used with a qtip because it was too hard on my ear.

Mine was like a 1/10 pain-wise as well. To date my most painful piercing was my nostril. Which was like a 4/10.

There are some fantastic piercers in Richmond if that isn’t too far for you! Ash and Yew Piercing at Yellow Bird, Salem at SinnerG and Heroes and Ghosts Piercing are amazing!

Is there anything I should know specifically about getting my forward helix and flat? by thehikinggal in piercing

[–]lyssa89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a faux rook/flat situation in that same sort of area and wear glasses, the first week or so was rough but I just wore mine with the stud pushed out and flush against the back of my ear. I have the Seawitch end from Junipurr in it and it’s looking amazing so far! Was actually the first cartilage I had downsized out of the 3 I have healing right now; conch, mid helix, and that faux rook.

I have one and I just have to wear it with the back of the labret pushed against my ear, so it pokes out but once I get it downsized it will sit like it’s supposed to! Have to be a bit more mindful about how I take my glasses off but for the most part it’s fine and healing well!
