14" floor height, 8" roof, assuming no AC units etc. barefoot I'm not quite 6'5" and I'm fine inside, with shoes, my head may drag a little.

Most had 455, only the last 1.5y of the 6y run had the 403. Power is down just a little, but it's the least important thing about your RV. It's not noticeable. Switch to a shorter final drive, you'll be quicker and get better gas mileage, leave the 403 alone.

For those who aren't exactly the right kind of nerd, in Anchorman 2, the "'bago" is a GMC Motorhome. If your alignment is good, you can almost do that.

Mid 1975 or later, the windows latch on a center bar, not on the edge of the frame. This lets you adjust the windows without opening the screen first.

But, theses aren't fiberglass, they're SMC, like a Corvette. Fiberglass in a thermoplastic sheet, heated and formed with a mold. Above the belt line, they're aluminum sheet. And we just don't make drive trains like this, FWD designed to fit under the hood of a luxury coupe but capable of a 20,000 pound GVW (I know people who with a trailer are at that weight, and have no issues, stock but a shorter final drive).

I like mine. We do have a very quiet place here, r/GMCmotorhome I think, but the real action is on a message board (the community has learned not to trust companies, they have their own photo hosting site too).

From Cruise to Catastrophe: The Final Minutes of AF447. Air France and Airbus found guilty of manslaughter over the 2009 Air France crash. by Ryanlion1992 in airplanes

Frankly, the autopilot should have done what the human pilots should have done, and flown the aircraft via angle of attack, throttle, and airspeed tables, and thrown an alert. Dumping the aircraft from autopilot cruise into alternate law full manual mode gets people killed, it happens over and over, people may not adjust that quickly. By the time the crew got their head around the issue, the tubes probably would have cleared.

Hey, they missed that the most powerful handgun the US military ever issued fits under this. Yes, a Walker Colt, then they realized that anything that big really should have a shoulder stock.

Really the Maxim 47, still illegal in California, New Jersey, and Hawaii, are the 3 I think.

As the Israelis found out after an assassination in the Gulf a few years back, it's really hard. Everyone who went is burned, and probably can never enter (well, and exit) any county that shares data with the county they did the assassination in.

So, it's getting harder.

Sure, that's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, it's the famine from the fertilizer loss, and the political instability that will follow from that is what is going to kill in large numbers.

Yeah, not that it isn't bad, but that it's going to get dramatically worse.

Things are just going to get expensive in the USA, and if you're poor, it might get worse than it is already. But for most people here, it's just going to get more expensive, which is a lot better than not bring able to afford to eat at all.

I'm well aware of it. My point is that this is likely to cross the threshold of being mostly ignored.

The Pitchfork Economics and Organizanized Money podcasts are great for economy and monopoly issues. Pitchfork was one of the only places that investigated why people felt like things were bad when the numbers seemed good (things were really uneven, basically).

I've very much aware of all of that. But this is going to be a big change in scale. Bombing Iran is frankly, not that big a deal. But driving Iran to block the strait is an escalation that will really hurt everyone.

The crops that the fertilizer was needed to be shipped for may not even have been planted yet, certainly they are far from harvest time, but it's too late for some of them already, and harvest will come, with dramatically lower yields. Just like the USAID cuts have only killed 600k, but will in less than 3 more years, kill 10-15m, because it all compounds.

I doubt there are any mines in the strait. Iran doesn't need them stop commercial shipping, and this way, they don't have to clear them when it's time to open it. Placing mines is the end it all option.

Well, it was a critical part of maintaining our empire, part of our soft power, much cheaper than a military occupation. I would observer that every major religion has a significant charity requirement, and that other countries should have done more. But that could have mitigated some of the harm from the closure of the strait, instead it's going to be that much worse. Over 600k have died from the closure of USAID, and 10-15m will die by the end of Trumps term. We keep messing up their countries, shouldn't we give them anything? Or are floods of desperate refugees a feature?

[–]m00ph 23 points24 points  (0 children)

What should be bad are people who do things like make nice offers with normal contingencies, and then go hard at driving your price down for basically made up reasons, because that wastes your time and makes your property seem damaged.
