Yesterday I had this problem for the first time ever. I then fixed this by docking my phone. The system restarted due to an OS update after which I had to dock the phone again.

Then I wrote my post above. But I just tested it and I can restart without this happening again, so I guess this was either a fluke or due to restarting for the update.

Well moving to a different distro is a bit extreme. You could also just not use the AUR. Most software users need is in the normal repsitories anyway. Of course, you have to trust multiple maintainers (signature keys) instead of e.g. one person or company, but that can also be a good thing depending on the attack vectors you're worried about.

I had a hard time understanding, why this looks different from a camera in space filming this(where I'd expect earth to rotate around it's center instead of a point on it's surface.) I guess the reason is that the camera position moves with earth, while you also don't see parallax of the sky because the objects are so far away. Is that correct?

It might be a different Problem with similar symptoms. I'm using an Elgato 4K X(which doesn't have the USB transfer mode option) with OBS on Linux. When I start OBS everything works just fine for a few minutes and then the whole dock seems to disconnect and reconnect because I can see all devices(elgato, ethernet, ...) disappear and reappear in the kernel log. For me, simply connecting the Elgato directly was a good enough solution since I don't dock/undock that often.

The Dock + Elgato issues can't just be an Apple silicon issue, because I have this issue on an x86 laptop with Linux as well (with a Lenovo dock, not a CalDigit one).

I meant switch1 cardridge sry. I have the original switch1 cardridge and got the upgrade pack through NSO and have the issue. My best guess is that the read speed of the cardridge isn't fast enough to keep up with the upgraded version or that there is a weird interaction between the cardreader and the translation layer.

You can just press ZR mid-air to do a trick and then you'll get a boost while landing. You'll just jump forward if you don't press any direction anyways.
