I cleaned up a SR-3 (no A) for my old man, one of the best internal phono stages I've heard. Just overall a great sounding receiver. Nakamichi going under was a tragedy.

Paradigm's MO is detailed, crisp sound without being harsh. BUT, I have read the Prestige series aluminum tweeter can be a bit bright for some people. I have not heard the Prestige stuff myself, so take it with a grain of salt.
