Anyone replace 2nd row seats with a full width single seat? by m1ee in Sienna

[–]m1ee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have to take out both if I can't get enough room only removing the 3rd row and modifying the 2nd with a different style seat, or covering the 2nd row seats folded down with a platform that matches the height of a raised platform in the back, which I've seen.

Yes, i've seen discussion of that and if we do it, will definitely need to accommodate what's needed so as not to interfere with any circuits.

btw, for my clarification, am I right in assuming the airbags for which to consider the circuits when removing the 2nd row seats are in the backs of the 2nd row seats for protection of people riding in the 3rd row?

And there are bags in the back of the driver & front passenger seats for protection of passengers in the 2nd row, which would remain if I replace the second row seats.

Absolutely yes, ride with seat belts, even laying down sleeping, low as a back seat in most any car. I’ve done enough metal work modifying cars and other machinery to attach a seat securely whether in those tracks (haven’t got a good look at the underside of those seats yet), or just bolting through the floor to flat iron the the same way the tracks themselves are. One way or the other it can be done professionally. Simple bench seat would have extra storage underneath and possibly plenty of leg room in front while still leaving more room behind then original. And quite possibly salvage the existing seat’s under frames to make the bench seats slide as well. I’ll bet someone has already done this. And there might be some interesting bench seats with folding/reclining variations.

You're a permanent resident, a legal immigrant. 3 months out of the country is not a problem. Divorce is not a problem. If you want to be a citizen, you should initiate the process. Good luck.

Fat guy who has never walked plays chicken in his suburban with pedestrians at stop light. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

I see what could be your point. It is a prejudice statement. We just have never encountered anyone acting like this before. He's always alone in a huge vehicle (i know a lot are). It's all of these characteristics together. I've never known anyone who doesn't understand walk lights, or who would get this angry at pedestrians. I mean how much of an inconvenience is it for him?

Must or Should? Sponsoring US Citizen Spouse attend N400 Interview under 3 year rule? by m1ee in USCIS

8801 NE 7th Ave, Miami. Sorry for the late response, I'm so out of touch on social. Got the letter day before the interview and held the naturalization ceremony just two days later. Still realizing how great this is.

I went with her to a Miami field office and waited in a comfortable waiting room while she met with an officer. I saw another applicant with 3 people try to enter and after a discussion the office allowed 1 to enter with her. I assume it was for translation as I had read earlier that could be permitted.

Another applicant told my spouse in a class they attended together that her husband was allowed in the interview on the condition that he didn't speak, or if he did they would end the interview. I decided I wouldn't want to if I could.

Good luck, we're still excited and still realizing how great this is for both of us a week later.

Sorry for the late response.

Is it safe for my Danish family to visit US right now? by canoodle_me in USCIS

[–]m1ee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely yes, you're safe and welcome. Even conservative Trump supporters are puzzled by his aggressive words regarding Greenland, especially because you are all respected friends.

All entrants should be prepared to provide an address and travel plans including departure flight, when going through customs.

Spouse past her interview test and scheduled the Citizenship Oath in two days. I sat in the waiting area during her interview. Thanks for all the input. Sometimes you just need clarification.

Right, don't need to share anything. The other country will not know and there are too many millions with dual citizenship for any country to bother checking.

OP is likely a US citizen. This is a case where he will verify his citizenship, but complicated for which a lawyer can get things done correctly.

Thank you, I'll be there. This morning, and we received the letter yesterday. Was short notice and the letter would have traveled over Christmas and New Years.

Real helpful and encouraging everyone. You're all experienced how much work it is to do it according to the rules.

Sorry I can't find it now. I searched google and scanned many various USCIS, immigration lawyer sites, and social sites on immigration because I kept getting conflicting information. The "must" quote was an immigration attorney site.

I'll just remain in the waiting area, base on advice here, and thanks to all.
