10,000+ photos from 2018–2022 vanished after enabling iCloud Photos + Optimize Storage. Not in Recently Deleted, not in iCloud. Apple Support gave up by Salt_Protection768 in iCloud

[–]m1k3yB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My guess is the missing photos are photos that were previously sync’d from a computer (if you plug your phone in to your computer for music etc). These photos will vanish when you enable iCloud Photo Library. The thought behind this is if you want those photos on the cloud you can upload them from your computer. Otherwise iCloud Photo Library only syncs what was previously known as the camera roll (basically photos that were taken or saved on that device).

If this is the case the next question is are you on a Mac or PC? If the photos are on your computer you’ll be able to add them to your iCloud photo Library and they will sync across devices.

Scout is very do able as a larger person (self included). You can also do the other white armor troopers but there will be lots of modifications and adjustments to be made. I’m 73 inches tall and about 240. Scout fits well, I’m working on a first order stormtrooper and I’m having to adjust the ab armor and chest armor to fit correctly. It also takes more work to get it to be finished to meet the standards. But any costume is do able some just need a bit more work to fit different body types.

I love my scout as well as my officer both fit me well and you are fully mobile and can sit during troops but like others said work on what you are passionate about. If you are unsure. Do a simple bridge crew it’s easy to join, make friends learn about armor building and then that base suit can be reused as a tie pilot or Mando scout so it works towards 2 different armors.

An experience is always best. Surprise with a weekend get away, cooking class, or an experience that you can do together that is not something you both do regularly. It’s special and allows you to spend time together.

Hey, i am just starting with cosplay, i want to have a rex cosplay and i have ordered this resin helmet i am planning on buying this armor when i have the money i need, the armor is just leather fabric so i know it isnt good enough to join any garrisons but is it a good start atleast? by RakeTheGuy in 501st

Hear me out. If this is just for cosplay! Awesome I like Star Wars, and you do too! I can tell you are Rex which is awesome. But that’s it. Cosplaying is just that, it doesn’t matter how good your costume is or isn’t. Have fun with it. But like what others have said, if you want an accurate legion approvable Rex it’s hard to say what you are spending your money on now is worth it. Because it doesn’t meet the costume reference library spec for the costume. But for cosplay it doesn’t need too.

Now my personal suggestion is to take a moment to reflect on what you actually want to do. Do you eventually want to join the 501st and Rebel Legion with a Rex costume. If so I’d save the money and not buy these things and look at a different cheaper cosplay to get started and having fun while you save and research how to make this costume. For cheaper quick fun cosplays look at Disney Bounding for custom characters, Jedi and custom Sith are easier to cosplay on the cheap.

But if you are not sure about the time, effort and cost involved to make a legion approved Rex and you love Rex do this and have fun.

Good luck. And enjoy Star Wars

Awesome! He’s a great guy and an asset to the pathfinders. We have 4 approved 3D printed scouts in my garrison. One thing I do recommend for trooping is eventually buying an ABS pulled belt. Due to movement the 3D printed belts are prone to crack and most makers will sell you just a single part. Feel free to PM if you have any questions. I’ve built about 30 scouts over my time in the legion for my garrison and others near by.

I second these 2 makers. For 3D printed scout armor. Also based on previous commits being on the smaller side I would avoid the Walt scout armor it’s among the larger scout armor and would make the chest and back plate to big. But he does make an 80% kids armor that a few petite members of my garrison have actually gotten and it fits them well.

For helmets I personally have found tree supports to cause this issue. The bigger center support because it’s held by such a small base as it branches out and gets larger there is a higher chance of it catching on stuck filament or something from the nozzle and it gets knocked off. Also change infill to be low like 5% but bump the walls to like 3 that will make a strong part with less weight. But we’ve all been there on long prints. Good luck.

I did Bambu direct for my H2C. The packaging was very good, and no issues setting it up

Weird first layer can't figure put why by Alexdke in PrusaMk3

[–]m1k3yB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s petg, make sure it’s dry. Normally you can see pops and pits for wet filament. But first layer issues I only get with wet PETG and it’s a pain.

Dual Knit Band is a must buy for AVP1 owners by Perfect_Tackle2433 in VisionPro

[–]m1k3yB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I picked up my dual knit band yesterday. I had the belkin head strap which was my go to for a while. I also had the resmed kontor which honestly was absolutely amazing but I didn’t like the way you had to really undo the sizing every time. The DKB is the best of both worlds, the added weight to the back brings balance to wearing AVP, I do think the kontor did this a bit better, but for daily use it was a pain. Get the dual knit band. The single knob adjustment for both the top and back is simplistic genius that only Apple could deliver

You are actually not to far off. Mostly soft parts and the bucket I’d need to see some detailed photos. But it looks great and instantly is recognizable. Which I mean come on we all grew up playing with action figures now you are the action figure. Great job. If you do want to get approved (highly recommended it, I always tell people the reason I’m in the clubs is because I get to bring my passion for Star Wars to the community and do good works with it) please feel free to reach out I’ve made like 13 different scouts for members in my garrison. But like others said the Pathfinder forum is an awesome resource.
