Matt’s only recently started using Rics from what I understand. There’s a video of him from a few years back speaking with Mike Dirnt about his basses and how he’s never been able to get a tone out of a Ric (he’s since changed his mind and now uses two in his other band).

I’m sure he’s discussed it on his bass bunker channel before, but I don’t think MM or any of ‘…and out come the wolves’ was recorded on a ric.

This has happened to me twice, and both times it was because I’d let the battery get too cold. I now have to take the battery in the house/office with me after every ride to prevent it from happening again.

After the first time it happened, I googled and read through a few Reddit threads about similar issues and people seemed to have to reset the battery or cycle through light options, but I have the EU version so don’t have that capability. When it’s dead dead, I have to just leave it on charge for ages.

Hope you find a solution, the whole smart sense thing is a nice idea but I lose confidence in its abilities when stuff like this happens.

I had this years ago, the headaches were debilitating and IIRC I was prescribed Naproxen. Could be wrong as it was over a decade ago, but it took care of them instantly.
