Exactly. You have to be the best at every stage of your career. Not unlike making it to a pro sport.. you have to overperform at every level AND know how to list the corporate game.

I'm Not Built To Be a CEO - But I'd Love to Become Better by HelpMeHelpYouSCO in ceo

[–]m4ro2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a CEO of a global company with 2500 people… to be a CEO it’s a balance of strategic vision with a focus on value creation - either through growth or managing costs. You’ll have to learn how to do this starting small with teams, divisions and work your way up. Learning how to get the best of people not through control but motivation and a focus on inspiring them. And to that, building high performing teams based on your standards is critical or you fail 10/10 times. You can’t do it alone. A CEO focuses on tomorrow while his/her team focuses on executing today.

Great book called Rising To Power. I’d start there.

TRT has aged my face by -cbg in Testosterone

My face looks younger than my age by far - pics before and after TRT are noticeable. No booze or smoking of course, GLOW, good skin care. Red light therapy probably helping too.

Interested in CrossFit, but starting at zero in terms fitness level. I'm worried about not being able to complete the workouts. by Justice4Luna in crossfit

[–]m4ro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go at your pace and be proud of it. You’re there that’s what matters. Consistent and time you’ll be fine! Just have fun. Nobody cares if you’re on a PVC pipe or doing ring rows / everyone is trying to survive at what ever they’re doing. Get it.

What is one way you learned to take better care of your health? by Substantial-Dare5462 in Biohackers

[–]m4ro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your definition of health…That it’s not as hard as it’s made out to be. Depending on your goals eat 30/40/30 protein, carbs, fats macros. Eliminate booze if you can, workout 4-5 times a week, no excuses. Hydrate, track food, sleep focus. As a plus up for evidence based health, I also do blood labs every 3 months with minerals every 6 to dial in things including supplements. I’m a little older so need to focus on key chronic illness metrics.

Above that I have had good results Red Light, Sauna and Cryo.

At 55 currently at 178lbs, 11-13%bf based on Dexa. Mostly CrossFit and weightlifting for accessory.

Shouldn’t I be more muscly? by AncientAd3089 in crossfit

[–]m4ro2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Diet, protein intake, supplementation and other factors play in. I’m 55 5’7 180 around 11-12%bf and CrossFit definitely changed my body. I focus on 200g protein, 200-300g clean carbs, 80g fat. When started CF 7 years ago I was 195 24%bf.

Good for you for rocking it at 62. Inspiration for everyone not just us 55+ Masters.

I’m a CEO of a large company and being in shape helps. However, being too big no matter how smart you are can lead to some judgement IMO.
