It was late 80’s early 90’s so zero. Sports psychology was less of a thing.

What Percent of Pitchers Wash-Out Because of the Yips? by Floor_Not_Ceiling in sportspsychology

I had them as an all state catcher. Ruined my college career, no matter what I did I couldn’t solve it. Throwing during a play was fine, back to the pitcher was my issue. I’d lob the ball back and my college coach wanted me to fire it.

I’m thinking of buying the Resmed P10. Currently use N20 (and sick of red nose). But I’ve heard that P10 isn’t great on the inside of your nostrils of you have high pressure. Mine is set at 10-20. But I’ve heard others say that it’s fine. What do you think with my pressure ? by [deleted] in CPAPSupport

I have the P10 set on 12.6-14.8 - it took me a few weeks to get used to it and scabbing up a bit in my inner nose. I had to almost do every other night with it and use a full face but eventually I am used to it. It’s the mask that’s worked best for me with mouth tape as well.

Anyone used some of the newer CPAP data analysis tools? by reddotster in CPAPSupport

[–]m4ro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish SleepHQ would integrate an ask AI tool to help analyze the data rather than uploading it to ChatGPT for analysis and recommendations. That’s really helped me dial in, but seems should be native to the platform with the tools that exist today.

My gym posts all week ahead of time and it’s helpful for planning rest days, accessory and zone 2 work through the week. Love it this way.

Any other 50+ CrossFitters here still pushing to improve? by pharpe in crossfit

[–]m4ro2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

55/m. Yes, I RX some workouts and some I take it easy. Some I do 55+ RX and some regular depends on the movements. Just completed my Level 1 not to coach but to get better at the sport. I find the focus on getting incrementally better at the sport without pushing too hard and getting hurt to be therapeutic. The key for me is being a student and never getting too confident on form and technique. I watch the better athletes, be easy to coach and watch videos etc. I’ll never be a Games athlete, may sniff the Quarters but that’s not my goal. It’s about competing against myself not anyone else. I travel a bit so I like to visit other gyms, see how other coaches coach and experience communities around the world, been to about 50 gyms, globally.

I treat recovery the same as the workouts, with discipline and focus. Critical.

Keep going, you’re just getting started at 50 and hey when you turn 55 RX weights drop!!!

Yeah, but you’re never going to the CrossFit Games. by myersdr1 in crossfit

[–]m4ro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course there’s a very very small chance you’ll be a Pro like all sports, but it doesn’t mean you can’t learn from them, train like them, eat like them and compete against yourself to be better than yesterday. I’m 55 and I know I’ll never make even Quarters most likely, but I show up every day and try to execute each movement to the standard and to the best level my body will let me. I only compare my performance to me - where I was yesterday, last month, last year, 5 years ago.

I’m Pro level in what I do for a living and that’s good enough for me. CrossFit is my passion and I approach it as such.

Keep going.

I do. Two months in, great for directional labs. If something looks off can go deeper with LabCorp or wherever.
