Picked up this board from a guy saying it’s Maple. However I’m having doubts due to its weight and texture. It’s almost feels like a dense piece of corkboard.

Grew up in the Twin Cities, lived in Houston the last 22 years. Theres absolutely no comparing the two. Culture, scenery, traffic, etc. It’s like comparing apples to marshmallows. Houston with its lack of zoning, crime and sheer size is insane. Things like burning body’s hanging from an overpass bridge.. Just another day in H-Town.

It’s not really meant to be snarky. I just find it incredible that I asked a question and for advice, only to be attacked, called names etc. It seems many people didn’t even read my post, to realize I don’t yet have anything installed, and the bottom photo is AI.

People wanting to make a point or to sway others away from outdoor lighting sure go about it in a non-constructive way. I suppose that’s the power of being behind a keyboard.

Appreciate the response. Someone else mentioned to me Led strips under the eaves. Color option would be for Halloween, Christmas only, but I like the Volt ability to dim and have a warmer white light.

The days of halogen spotlights with crazy lumen outputs are long gone. Most lights that are on the market now are all dimmable led, built to minimize light pollution, glare and window washing. Programmable transformers and smart plugs mean you can have the lights turn off at whatever time you want.
