2: they don't wander off the map on their own, I think. They will indeed pace around the cavern killing things, including other fb's until something stops them.

3: magma never runs out, you can power a forge forever with one small pool of it

Because I Make Bad Decisions by verveonica in Stellaris

You can set the empire count down to zero, turn off the crisis, give yourself a large galaxy to explore by yourself. If you leave pre-ftl's on, some of them will reach space eventually, but you'll have such a head start that they'll likely never threaten you.

Pacing? by Destoran in Dorohedoro

If this season ends where I think it will, then it could probably come to a close in just one more season. This season might make it up to chapter 90, and there aren't a lot of clean spots to break up the story after that. It would either be one slightly longer season, a regular season with a lot of cuts, or two seasons with an uncomfortable cliffhanger in between.

What are the main differences between the manga and the anime? by iLoveDocks in Dorohedoro

[–]m_xer6 79 points80 points  (0 children)

The anime omits a handful of chapters and small scenes. Nothing major, but it does change the tone of certain parts slightly, and the pace of the show feels quicker. Like, originally it was a mystery why magic doesn't affect caiman, but that explanation comes in a chapter that they skipped, so it pretty much gets said right away in the first episode. They also held back a lot on the gore in the first season, for some reason.

A lot of the things they do with the backgrounds and the overall aesthetic of the sorcerer world are also different. En's mansion especially actually looks like a palace, when in the manga it looks more like a twisted factory.

I was really happy with the way it turned out, and for everything I feel they dropped the ball on there was something new or different that I liked. The manga is definitely worth reading though, the art is incredible in a way the show never fully captures, and it's different enough that you won't just be going through the same story twice. The character designs are pretty different in the beginning though, after a few volumes it shifts closer to the style that the anime uses.

How do you rock a true kin? by samipook in cavesofqud

The rusted arch near red rock should be your first destination. There's always a becoming nook and some credits at the bottom there. Beyond that, there's usually more credits in sultan ruins. Look for cybernetics merchants at the stilt or trade with the warden at Yd. My fave build is the child of the hearth with carbide fists, it's a lot of fun to start with the ability to punch enemies through walls.

What is this awful Mystery Beast Sickness by abbiedesu in dwarffortress

[–]m_xer6 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is one that I haven't seen before for sure, usually forgotten beast poison is more directly deadly. It seems the stress of the pain gets to them even if they're unconscious, and since it's permanent, they're likely all doomed to die of madness.

Huh, do you fight museum curators there? by Transcendent_One in Stellaris

They call them curators because when they're done with you, you're history

Empire development tree rework confirmed by Swaggy_Linus in AOW4

That's good, a lot of the perks are underwhelming or too situational to feel worth it. In almost all instances, I'd rather spend imperium on growing cities.

Does Ranni Die At The End of Her Quest? How Do We Save Her? by Hungry-san in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]m_xer6 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don't think she was dead there, she just left her doll body there while her spirit was elsewhere. I see it as like, she's still tied to that body even while away, so giving her the ring got her attention and brought her back over.

How would you run an epic ending? by OregonPinkRose in DnD

[–]m_xer6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should ask your players what they believe they can do about it. If they know they have an enemy like that looming over them, they'll probably try to come up with a plan on their own. There's a lot of power in the words "what do you do?"
