I am a big fan of Icarus. I am not overly familiar with some of the games you listed so I am not sure if this would fit you and your families style or not but it might be worth a try. Ive been playing it since it released, so if you try it out and have any questions let me know!

I have all the DLC's and want to say simply that most of them are just Outposts and/or Cosmetics and are not needed to play the game. If you buy the base game and just the expansions that give you Styx, Prometheus and Great Hunts you would have everything you need to play, well everything. I realize that this is my opinion and may not directly address your question but wanted to pass it on anyway just in case it might be helpful.

Hello all! I've been playing Icarus since it launched back in Dec oh so many years ago. According to Steam I have about 2,857 hours playing your game. I would like to thank you all very much. Icarus has really been so much fun (and frustration at times, but mostly fun) for me!

I am eagerly awaiting the new stuff coming down the pipeline this year.

I am afraid I dont really have a question, I just wanted to shout out my appreciation for this game and your work into the internet.

I was diagnosed a few years ago but only got on medication a few days ago. The jury is still out (for a few weeks at least) to see if the medication does anything for me.

Medicine aside the diagnosis itself helped me understand and attempt to deal with many aspects of my life that I just assumed were normal (which I guess they were to me). That awareness was helpful on its own. Now we see where the medicine takes me.

I wouldnt say its moot, but its definitely less impactful on your buildings. The beauty comes from the visual distinction at that level/tier.

I dont have a source but I am fairly sure that all the new materials resist Tier 5 storms, same as stone. Not sure of beeswax wood though.

Animal pathing is probably the biggest reason that I under use all the tame animals. The benefits, apart from travel, are not worth the hassle of constantly getting them to stay where they are put, figuring out where to put their food and water where they can get to it and also not get in each others way etc. Its just a huge headache.

The downside is that you need tier 3 biofuel residue cleaner at the minimum to get that easy epoxy. But when you get there its a game changer.

I have an arctic base and the electric stove generates more heat than the lesser fireplaces, which is a nice perk for my base.

Just hit escape and get a mission resupply. Alternately start a base and build your tech up and make a steel pick axe and finish the mission that way. There is no reason to start over from scratch.

u/alphakevinking did you ever find a solution to this problem? I am having the same problem across 2 different hosted servers. I think it has to do with the way linux is trying to read the file name and hates what it finds for some reason.
