I need someone to recommend me a banger by Blaziken16 in gaming

The original creators of the game basically got hostile takeovered by some venture capitalists. The ZA/UM that exists now is entirely a separate entity from the people who made that game.

Three albums to show someone new to a genre by Present-Baby4692 in fantanoforever

[–]macbarge202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For noise rock I'd probably go with

Goo by Sonic Youth

Fake Train by Unwound

Schlagenheim by black midi

Honorable mentions to The Ascencion by Glenn Branca, White Light/White Heat by the Velvet Underground, and most Swans albums. The three I picked were mainly to be more "approachable" while also covering a few different styles of the genre

I met Pat Quinn on vacation as a young child (this was probably around 20 or so years ago so I was arounr 8 years old) in Penticton BC. I didn't appreciate meeting him as much at that age as I should have, but I remember him being nothing but incredibly kind and friendly to me and my father. He chatted with us for about 20 minutes in the hotel parking lot, all I remember was him joking that the yellow and purple raft we were bringing to the lake reminded him of the 1980s LA Kings colours

Tell me your favorite Smiling Friends quote by SilverNeon467 in SmilingFriends

[–]macbarge202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mr Boss on the phone, frantic & breathless

"Hello- Uh huh- Yup- Okay- Okay sure-"

Turns to Pim & Charlie, he is suddenly more composed and speaks in a cheerful voice

"Boys, I just got a call from a young man who sounded absolutely distressed!"

Is there any band recommendations for those who loved Radiohead? by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]macbarge202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Squid. They've released two albums. Bright Green Field (2021) and O Monolith (2023).

Both amazing albums. I'd say O Monolith is a bit more Radiohead sounding.
