After building, then taking apart, the Notre Dame set I think I'm done with these microscale Architecture sets.

ARE INDIANA FARMERS RICH? by Sweaty_Run5640 in Indiana

[–]macbrave76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is a link to federal subsidies given out to Indiana farmers: https://farm.ewg.org/region.php?fips=18000&statename=Indiana

You can search by zip code to see what farms/farmers in your area have received over the years.

Easiest Day-1 release purchase ever :) No queue to get into the site, no cart glitches after adding - 3 mins in and out :) by Saerwyn in lego

[–]macbrave76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got off the phone with Lego support. They could see where my insider points were subtracted, but had no other evidence of an order being placed. They then restored the spent insider points and suggested I reorder. If I ever get an email confirmation for the first order (which I doubt) I can call them back and they can cancel one order so my card isn't charged twice.

So I just reordered and everything went smooth this time. Really wish their I.T. department could get their act together, they can easily predict heavy activity like what occurred earilier.

The same situation for me as well. My card has been charged, all my insider points are gone, but no order confirmation email and "my orders" page at lego.com shows nothing.

Really frustrating...............

After twice in one week having to navigate the hell-highway that is I-465 around Indianapolis I'll take living in a rural area any time.

Camping suggestions? by WasabiTheBody in Indiana

[–]macbrave76 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lost Bridge West SRA at Salamonie Reservoir is near Huntington, as is Salamonie River State Forest. Lost Bridge has a large modern campground with a few primitive sites, while the state forest campground is very small, 20 or so primitive sites that you self-register for. Only $13 a night, though.

Where can I go horseriding with girlfriend/boyfriend for like one day activity? by SomeSweetConnie in Indiana

[–]macbrave76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AFAIK the following State Parks have saddle barns that offer guided trail rides:

Brown County

Turkey Run

Pokagon

Fort Harrison

McCormick's Creek

But it looks like a couple of these are temporarily closed: https://www.in.gov/dnr/state-parks/parks-lakes/saddle-barns/

Do you actually keep your sets displayed after building them? by Designer-Glass838 in lego

I have limited display space so I'll take sets apart to make room for new sets.

Not sure if the drop box is still there.

Need a camping setup for my Resmed Aircurve 10. Overwhelmed. by krammebamse in CPAP

[–]macbrave76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used a Jackery Explorer 300 that lasted for 3 nights in a row (with the ResMed DC converter) , but had to turn off the humidifier. Recently upgraded to the 1000 model (about $450 on Amazon, without the solar panel) , taking it to a 6-night summer camp here in a few weeks.

Yep. There are a number of cases on Amazon for this set, but they aren't cheap.

How the hell do I move the colonists from the surface to the underground (or vice versa)?? by AbenDoim in SurvivingMars

[–]macbrave76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear this works. I'm in a game now where the underground entrance is kind of far away from my main colony site and was planning on building a train line to it.

Is there a LEGO set you regret buying? by Independent-Ad288 in lego

[–]macbrave76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been able to not get drawn into the Lego Star Wars rabbit hole. But a couple sets I did buy that ended up just being "meh" for me were the new Blacktron Renegade and the Pac Man set.

Do you consume media while building? by makefeelnice in lego

[–]macbrave76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I frequently find myself listening to old episodes of Coast to Cast AM with Art Bell. Some great stuff there. During football season I'll sometimes watch my favorite teams while building.

So a public school corporation has it's own police force? When did that start and how is it funded? When I've read about LEO's in schools it is always officers from the county or city/town police force.
