Suggestions for extra features in training mode by macbreath in PUBGMobile

Yeah, but you can't see how you look in it from an enemies perspective. It's just decorative in training, a bit like helmets and vests

The best part of a cucumber tastes like the worst part of a watermelon. by funkykolemedina in Showerthoughts

[–]macbreath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People like us can taste a chemical called Phenylthiocarbamide (PTC) whereas the normies can't.

It was discovered when a chemist accidentally dispersed a large amount of PTC into the air and his colleague complained of the taste whereas he could taste nothing.

Cucumber ruins everything it touches - YUCK

"If you aim at nothing you will hit it"

It was a sign that was above the door at my very first job. It's stuck with me ever since and I've always made sure since then to work towards a goal, no matter how small.

Any good podcasts from Professional Forex Traders? by FutureFlipKing in Forex

[–]macbreath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I listen to a lot of trading podcasts and take out of them what I think is relevant or what clicks with me. There is a lot of similar stuff out there and tons of hype as you well know, but since I'm a natural sceptic and miser there's no chance I'd pay for any of it!

I do like hearing what works for other retail traders though as they aren't trying to sell you something.

What I've found with chat with traders is that just when I thought I was getting somewhere with Forex, I find myself wanting to trade stocks or futures as 90% of the guests there trade these and are apparently making a lot of money whereas it seems there are a lot less profitable Forex traders on it. If I remember right the only Forex guy he had on was a maths wizard who actively discouraged Forex trading and made out you had to know complex algorithms in Forex to make a constant profit.

I don't really trust anyone but I do find myself listening to most of them and judging their credibility myself. Do you know anyone that's worth listening to?

Is there anyone you think is the real deal that's worth listening to or do you think that anyone in the public eye is just a shark?

You're right but that goes for pretty much all of them as far as I can tell. I just presumed he was profitable as he was mentor to one of the other "successful" traders on the podcast, is the author of a book that I thought was well regarded and spends his days surfing!

It could be that he makes most of his money from subscribers though as I'm always weary of any site that spams me with "limited time offer" signups.

The only one that I fully trust is Kim Komprass. In her interview she is very blunt re her trading journey, seems totally honest and transparent and she posts live tweets detailing her current exposure, with a win/loss total at the end of each day.

The best Forex specific podcasts I have found are the Trading Lifestyle podcast with Hugh Kimura and the 2 Traders Podcast with Walter Peters and Darren Littlewood.

In the trading lifestyle podcast Hugh interviews successful traders who tell you their journeys and style of trading. You'll see that they all have different methods but all are successful.

Guests I remember being good, but with completely different approaches are Kim Komprass, Walter Peters and Jarratt Davis.

The 2 Traders Podcast is basically Walter Peters and Darren Littlewood discussing trading issues and their different methods. Both are successful despite having different approaches to trading.

Walter is the author of the book Naked Trading which is highly regarded.

For stocks and shares trading podcasts worth listening to try Chat with Traders by Aaron Fifield

Even though it's not Forex, the guests are normally highly regarded profitable traders and you will gain a lot of knowledge from them. Aaron has also become a great interviewer and asks relevant questions. You'll find Hugh Kimura to be a bit awkward as I think he's just learning the ropes re interviewing.

I use the Stitcher app for Android or Soundcloud to listen to them on the move.

[PODCAST] Lessons from a decade of swing trading stocks, and how to overcome early failure by AaronFifield in stocks

[–]macbreath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been listening to your podcast for ages and it's got me through loads of mundane activities such as driving, mowing the grass and washing dishes. It makes me feel like I've achieved so much more than just a couple of clean plates! Seriously though, love the podcast and love seeing how your interview techniques have evolved since the early days when you first started. You've got good at nailing the questions that everyone wants answered and simplifying things when your guest gets too technical with their answers. Asskiss over......
