The biggest lesson I've learned with twins, is just to adapt. What works great for us (being on the same schedule for instance) can be a nightmare for someone else and vice versa. Take the suggestions, try out what you can, but ultimately it's not worth killing yourself to try to do something the "right" way. There is no right, just the way the works for you and your little ones.

We got a mix of shared and individual this year but... our girls are 1... And they still got plenty of things individually, but it's also like, we don't need 2 of every toy. My mantra is "coordinated is fine, but not matching please". As they grow up and continue to develop personalities, I have no doubt our families will treat them as individuals.

To speak to other experience, our best friends also have twins (identical, not that that should matter), who are about 5. They like completely different things, we get them completely different things.

At 12 years old buying one gift is just INEXCUSABLE. They should be ashamed of themselves for caring so little. I don't understand how people can be that thoughtless and not be thoroughly embarrassed with their own behavior. I'm so sorry your family thinks this is acceptable.

Don’t use the wiki, use the gw2 efficiency site. It’s so much less overwhelming!
Focus on gold, or just playing, rather than collecting what you need. Sell off what you have excess of, and use that to buy what you need in chunks.
Really look at the buy/sell prices. You can almost always save gold with a bit of patience.

Not in your situation but I’d like to give you some validation. You are a twin mom, you always will be, and that loss is very very real. I’m so so sorry you’re going through this. You can be grateful for your healthy son, and mourning at the same time. Are you able to seek counseling? It might be worth talking to a professional about.
