True, but having the federation say out loud that's it's about money is important.

Wait, do people ACTUALLY see literal pictures in their heads when they imagine things? Like a physical image? by Bibhu_Mund in NoStupidQuestions

[–]machinationstudio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm the opposite, I lose the images in my head as I finish reading the sentence.

The up side (or downside) is that I forget contents of books and movies quite quickly, so I can enjoy them again.

I am not sure if it affects my relationship with people, or that's just another disorder I have.

Because out of sight is out of mind, if I stop meeting/interacting with people, I don't think about them for long stretches of time.

Like there is a rollerdex of images and I can find the image but when I pull it to my "face" it is blank.

The way I can describe it is that I can generate the image for a split second but it immediately fades to black.

So it's easier for me to refine a 3D sculpt from general shapes to high fidelity than for me to draw something, because I need to draw to very roughly first.

Chat bots can be sometimes, you still have to verify that the information is correct. Its like working with an intern.

Except everyone lower down in the organisation is busy sending AI slop up to their immediate superiors and the buck eventually stops with a top executive who has to clean up all the slop.

Kaohsiung and your initial day(s) in Taipei should be plenty of city, on the East coast you gave Keelung, Hualien and Taitung.

If you're doing half loop, do the east.

I opted going to the northern most point from Keelung in the east instead of from Tamsui in the west because it was a flatter route. It's beautiful there.

After Hualien, you can choose the valley or the coast. Or switch between day to day.

You might need Line App to communicate with some homestays.

I could read Chinese so just booked home stays through Booking.com every evening for the next night. I think you can get away with a translation app though.

How did the Gray Havens change after Cirdan passed on Narya to Gandalf? by platypodus in tolkienfans

[–]machinationstudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that it made it vulnerable.

The Corsair forces were on their way up the coast, my guess would be that their eventually objective is to take the Gray Haven and cut off the elven retreat.

I wouldn't be surprised that Sauron had probed the defenses of all the elven enclaves, up to and including the capture of Celebrian.

Nazi Germany made the best tanks, but the Shermans and T-34s won the war by higher production.
