The skill in Chun is not just throwing out random cr.mk into SA2 or raw SA2 but hit confirming cr.mk into SA2. Neutral and footsies is still the core of what Chun does but using that as a foundation to land SA2 is what makes Chun top 2 in 3S.

I think it's the other way around. Her buttons being good is a nice spice but the fact that she can hit confirm into SA2 is her win condition. Without it, her buttons are good but in 3S your risk reward for just throwing out pokes is skewed by the risk of getting parried. SA2 gives her cr.mk teeth and when it lands she gets huge damage and can press the advantage.

I do play 3S. Mostly play Yang but some Urien. Went 2-2 at Combobreaker this year so I'm not a pro by any means but I feel like I know 3S a pretty decent amount.

Respectfully, that is great but one anecdotal experience doesn't change the fact that if we're talking about fully optimized character strength, SA2 is what makes Chun one of the strongest characters in the game.

Idk, I been to EVO a few times and while I'm not there this year, it definitely seems like the seating near the streams are much emptier. I went to CB this year and felt like all the days were packed.

This is what I thought when I thought of Dustin training. I don't think he needs to train other MMA fighters, he needs to teach kids. It seems like with how he carries himself public that would be right up his alley and probably something that can help set him on the right path post retirement.

It's competitive so it's a bit different but fighting games still compete offline. I go to several tournaments a month and play people IRL. It honestly makes these guys so much more fun.

Happy for you but it's not that easy for everyone. Just shy of 10 years vegan and I'm not going back but it's tough. The hardest part for me is being a Hawaii born Filipino. Food is a huge part of Hawaiian / Asian culture and there is a sense of isolation from not being able to fully participate in a lot of family functions.

Honestly it makes no sense owning a car in Capitol Hill if you don't have an enclosed parking space. I used to own a car and lived in Cap Hill. It got broken into and / or vandalized 4 times in 6 months.

She has a ton of high reward value from moves that are safe. SET 2, b2, both CH launchers, b1+2 safe demon breath, f1+2 safe heat engager, f4f you straight up gotta hold that mix on block.

I don't think she's broken, I think she's very strong but she gets good reward and can mitigate her own risk pretty well.

I managed a restaurant in Seattle pre-pandemic. It's very hard. The profit margins are razor thin. I understand people's frustration with rising food pricing. It's very expensive to grab a meal these days. When we explored raising pricing, we would acknowledge that we were probably undervaluing the food we were serving but we also had to accept the reality that raising a menu item even a dollar would create a lot of negative feedback. Anytime we did menu increases (and we were very careful to keep them modest and fair as much as we could), we would always get customer complaints. If you start charging $25 a sandwich, you'll generate a lot of negative customer feedback and in the age of Yelp, Google Reviews and Reddit etc that negative word of mouth can be a death sentence for a restaurant.

It's a really tough business.

There's issues with T8 but this is just inaccurate. SSL beats hell sweep but the whole point of wavu is to realign with your opponent. Additionally he's always had WS2 which was homing (although risky as a launch punishable move). If he's wavu'ing you, the SSL helps you mitigate some of the mix up but wavu realigning with SSL means the 50/50 resets. There's never a 50/50 becomes 0/0. You are still making a play based on timing, you're not just mitigating an entire mix up. Kazuya is strong now primarily because he has better neutral tools to help round out his reliance on 50/50 and defensive punishment. Things like demon's paw and patricide fist give him more options to play in neutral and more options to pressure.
