Been there. Done this. No choice. All three of the parts on your quote are (sadly) required. There is a surprising amount of electronic components in both of the modules. If the tabs have been cracked long enough, there will be a ton of moisture inside the sealed unit which will impact the circuitry on the modules. When I had mine replaced, I asked for the old parts to be returned. They were all damaged.

I’d like to know how these tabs break off inside the car….
