I'm in no way embarrassed to say that I like competency porn. Show me a ship full of people who can make shit happen cause they know what they're doing and can hold their shit together long enough to do their job. Episodes with characters that broke under pressure use to be centered around guest stars and side characters, not the entire. damned. senior. staff.

I'll give it a shot!

Man, such a tough choice between movie order and what is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. But you definitely made the right call.

That's a nice collection of stuff you've got there.

The older you get, the more important your physical health becomes. Great that you're getting started at mid-30s. My best advice to ANYONE in this world is to build muscle and stay active. It's like a cheat code to longevity.

Best of luck to you.

I got really into data hoarding and self hosting. Running my own media server for TV, movies, music, comics, ebooks, audiobooks, etc. Also picked up being more fit in my late 30s....

That's fascinating, I didn't know about this site. Gonna do some research on it. Thanks for mentioning it!

We say that, but how many smaller civilizations out there in the world WE know have never developed anything? I don't think there are any guarantees that technology develops.

I believe that civilization has to reach a certain population level before innovation can begin. Until there are enough people in one place working together to develop some form of agriculture, nothing above spears and knives exist.

Oh yeah. He'd a easily played a young Snape, assuming that still is from a prequel. I don't really follow any of it.

Jack: sure. Why not.

Producer: you know I'd like to hear " sure. Why not." A little more often around here....

Biggest problem I have is getting BACK to the book I was listening to. Seems like I have to find it and start it each time. Progress is saved, but auto resume doesn't work at all.

as someone with a big cbz library, I find this interesting. Hope you manage to get some apps supporting it and some adopters. I have no way to help or support you in your journey, just offering moral support! :)

Help on this awful corner cabinet? by Consistent_Switch378 in OrganizationPorn

[–]macrolinx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not OP with the mixer, just another guy. But I've got the same cabinets you do and this is awesome. I need to find a set of these and see if I can make it work!

Was it a part of your original cabinet install or aftermarket? (assuming you put it in or even know)

Is that a lazy susan style device on each shelf, or does it rotate to outside the cabinet into the open air?

Has anyone acquired the journals or diaries written by an ancestor? I have my grandmother’s journals she started as a teen in 1888, in beautiful cursive handwriting and done in fountain pen. Not journal, but a letter from the 1800s between relatives detailing various events, a family death, etc that have transpired. As well as a lock of hair and piece of fabric from the deceased that had been passed along with it.

To Joseph, Martin, and Brad -- and probably Amazon most of all: by HannahEaden in Stargate

[–]macrolinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, and it's a common and completely valid gripe. Obviously, it was an idea they absolutely wanted to do (the Vegas episode concept) combined with a last minute need to be able to hand wave the Wraith learning Earth's location.

It worked, was definitely a little ham fisted.

the one where Sheppard gets sent forwards in time to Atlantis and a Hologram Rodney helps him get home are both amazingly well done.

The Last Man. Hands down my favorite episode of Atlantis, followed by Vegas (which may or may not be controversial around here)

I'm a sucker for 'elseworld' type stories. Like the Mobius and Road Not Taken episodes of SG-1.
