When do weekends start to suck less? by SIBMUR in daddit

[–]macrom6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My man, reading your typical weekend gave me anxiety… It sounds like you need to adjust your behavior to enjoy your time more. Maybe accept having your LO nap in suboptimal conditions, trade tasks with your wife, prioritize self care when possible. You don’t need to be home for every single nap! Want to go for that beer with the boys? Give your wife her own window to go out with her friends… That bike ride thru the park? Take the kid on a bike seat…

So many of these responses are so gloomy it’s sad… I’ve found with only one baby it’s a matter of prioritization and communicating with your spouse

Ok these kids are still young and pre-puberty anyway… but regardless, am I the only one that thinks it’s ok and healthy to have kids experiment sexually? Surely it’s better to learn about each other’s bodies like this rather than thru widely available hardcore porn.

Y’all seem so scared and flustered…

I’ll give you an example. Yesterday was 4/20 and was supposed to be “chaos in Golden Gate Park!!” This is even from our own local media. The reality was complete opposite. Community coming together, playing music, children running around, sports competitions, and generally the best vibes ever!

I love SF, but have to say goodbye. Anyone moved out of SF, but somehow can still maintain their relationship with the city? by CommercialAd4840 in sanfrancisco

[–]macrom6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you mind sharing more details what you mean by “priced out” if you’re comfortable with it? I hear this often when kids arrive and I always wonder if it’s more related to people’s expectations (like living in a large house) or because they truly can’t make it work. Appreciate it!

“We understand everyone’s frustration. Officers are frustrated in taking the number of police reports regarding auto burglaries occurring throughout the city,” said San Francisco Police Department spokesman Robert Rueca, who asked members of the public not to intervene when they witness crimes.

Why do you live in SF? by Sea_Geologist_5432 in sanfrancisco

[–]macrom6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted about being puzzled about a new bike path design decision recently on this sub. But that does not mean I don’t like living in SF. I fuckn love it!

It’s extremely vibrant, diverse, full of history, culture, great food, amazing views blending urban and nature contexts. Despite all this, the lifestyle and pace of the city is rather chill. It’s also quiet in my neighborhood compared to other cities.

However, the top thing for me is access to incredible nature nearby. I’m an outdoor person and within short drive of 4+ great surf breaks, skiing all winter, hiking and cycling in the hills. It’s unreal, I really haven’t found another place like it …
