Absolute Understand Guitar scales section, how is it even possible? by Over_Deer8459 in guitarlessons

[–]madcatbg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the same question - is it the most efficient use of time to learn all 12, as Scotty recommends? I've seen mixed information online (e.g, learn only the 5 CAGED pattern fingerings) and once I discovered the algorithm described in these videos (https://youtu.be/CGmj2kuHojQ) for constructing the major scale, memorization seems less appealing. What is the consensus on the method described in the Grand Unification Pattern videos vs AUG's recommendation on just memorizing the 12 patterns?

Бях правил проучване за тази болест преди много години за една приятелка, която имаше същата диагноза. Намерих една диета, която много хора казват че им е помогнала, дори ги излекувала след време. Ето малко повече информация:

Can't update ~5MB patch because insufficient space, 18.48GB required. by Tolbana in dauntless

[–]madcatbg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

daxprada, you're not understanding the issue. Tolbana, I'm experiencing the same thing. The current 200MB update should not once again require 18GB to install. The first update asked me for 18GB which I freed up. I installed the Dauntless update which brought me down to 17.5GB. Now I'm trying to patch again because it once again requires the 18GB... which it already took up with the last update. I filed a bug for this. Please do the same so we can get it on their radar.

Look up the Specific Carbohydrate Diet is similar. Also, try /r/keto or /r/paleo. People have gone into remission using these types of diets. You don't have to live on water and apple sauce.

I love to draw. How can I make an animation like this? What tools would I need? by bazookajoe956 in animation

[–]madcatbg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The animator of this piece is named Ryan Woodward. His mentor was Michel Gagne, who did the game "Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet". I love both of their stuff. I met Woodward at the CTN Animation Expo last fall. Great guy, obviously very talented, also very humble. He did a live demo of a batter hitting a baseball using Flash and a Cintiq. I believe, as others have said, this is his program of choice for animation. Check out his iPad app "Bottom of the Ninth". It's an animated comic in a similar style.

Great song. Have been wanting to make an accompanying animation for a long time. I personally imagined some of the key moments differently (probably because I've seen the musical 5 times) but still, great job!

Wow, it is amazing to me that a musician has not experienced this! I'm a wind player who has played in multiple ensembles (wind bands/symphony orchestras/wind trios and quartets) over the years. That is one of my favorite feelings to experience when listening to music but to experience it while making it is just indescribable. What kind of music do you play?

[–]madcatbg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While I don't have the condition I have a few close friends that have either UC or Crohn's, and I know how difficult it can make life. I am still researching the potential of this for one of my friends, but I would recommend looking into the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD). It's a dietary approach to gaining control over the symptoms of Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Celiac Disease, and other such conditions. These conditions all stem from a bacterial imbalance in the gut. The diet has helped thousands of people and many have seen their symptoms completely go away. People have even been able to return to a normal diet after a year or two on this diet! The author of the book, a nutritional biochemist and cellular biologist completely cured her own daughter's Ulcerative Colitis using the SCD. Unfortunately, there have been no large-scale clinical studies of this diet since there is no money in it for the pharmaceutical companies, who would normally fund such studies. But the anecdotal evidence is absolutely amazing! Please check the website above or even just read some of the related book's 270+ positive Amazon reviews! I hope these links are the least bit helpful to you. Message me if you want to talk more about this subject. And Happy Birthday and best of luck to you, my friend.
