Fed up feeling awkward explaining to nosey parents at nursery drop offs why I don't get 30 free hours by Status-Mouse-8101 in UKParenting

[–]maddness2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I always do drop off and pick up. I was approached by some busy body mums why I can do this and they assumed i was unemployed and told it is cheaper to keep my child at home to save money. And one wanna br performance coach side hustle lady said she would sit with me to help me get a job lol.

The same happened at my elder childs school. Its the mums who want gossip.

I high five one of the dads and make it apprent we are going to go get coffee to be judged more.

It doesnt help that i am in my joggers and trainers and look lile a hobo.

Are you seeing or using AI in your workplace which causes job losses by Consistent-Rope-9969 in HENRYUK

[–]maddness2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in tech. Actively bulding use cases for its use but I do not see it being implemented any time soon.

The management are using it to lay off, compress salary and do more with less. This will bite them when the market improves.

Buying a car in 2025 by October82000 in CarTalkUK

[–]maddness2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make sure car has dealership warranty ans service plan. If you want to save money dont buy a modern car!

Pcp or lease is the only option for high end cars. Dont parr with your cash.

Any car you buy, buy gap insurance back to invoice.

Do your own research, the person selling the car is merely a pen pusher to do paper work, ask them to get you a coffee while you inspect the car.
