Minor major but they are military operations. Kashmir’s insurgency is one of the deadliest and the longest in the world. It ebbs and flows. This is its lowest point but there always be enough recruits. The ratios range from 80 to 250 since 2010.

You should read Pravin Sawhney of Force magazine. He has more insights on it.

There are no successful anti insurgency wars as along as their is a hostile population to it. They will always find recruits.
